ghafleks: I don't understand you ghafleks the advice I gave you was based on what I thought was your personal account. Only your parents, a legal guardian or official finanical sponsor can sponsor you, if it is not even the same company or whoever sponsoring you, I doubt you can use it in an appeal, you wmay need to apply again. If you are not able to articulate your situation properly on Nairaland (perhaps you feel restricted), you may receive the wrong information based on misunderstanding, go and see a UK immigration lawyer if it is regarding an appeal and too personal for you to talk about CLEARLY here. It will be a better use of your time and efforts than looking for sound advice based on incoomplete information. |

GOOD DAY HOUSE.I WANT TO THANK SO MANY PEOPEL THAT HAVE HELPED ME IN NAIRALAND.I WAS DENIED A VISA 9 MOUNTHS AGO AND I APPEALED AND I RECIEVED A LETTER FROM THEM AFTER NINE MOUNTHS LATER ON THE 31TH OF DECEMBER 2009.THE APPEAL WAS NOT SUCCEFULL,I WAS GIVING ANOTHER OPPURTUNITY FOR RECONCEDRATON. THE REASON WHY MY APPEAL WAS DINNIS IS THAT MY TAX CLEARANCE HAS EXPIRED AND I AM USING A COMPANY ACCOUNT AND BY LAW I AM SURPPOSE TO SEND A BORD RESOLUTION WITH MY APPEAL,THESS ARE THE REASON MY APPEAL WAS DISMISS. PLEASE I WANT THE GOOD PEOPLE OF THE HOUSE TO HELP IN THESE CASE WEATHER I STAND A CHANCE TO WIN,BECOS SOME ONE TOLD ME THAT RECONCEDRATION IS BETTER AND FASTER THAN APPEAL. AWAIT YOUR RESPONSE,ONE LUV |

Re: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by flekan(m): 12:30am On Jan 08, 2010 |
ghafleks: Your school being registered under ASIC doesn't mean it is approved by the home office for international students to apply through them. You can study there assuming you're already living in the UK. Your college is not among the list of colleges approved by home office. Since you will be applying under the Tier 4 (General & Child), you will need to apply through a college that is Licensed Under the Tier 4 (General & Child). You can choose another college for your appeal. Check the link below for lists of colleges approved by home office. http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/employersandsponsors/pointsbasedsystem/registerofsponsorseducation |

Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process, someone pls help me, « #2864 on: August 20, 2009, 05:51 PM » Hello guyz in the house, i'm in need of your advice and support concerning my uk visa appeal. I applied for a deppendent visa to join my husband, we got married in feb this year, applied for visa in march. I was refused visa on the grounds that, exerpts from eco, YOU HAVE APPLIED TO JOIN YOUR HUSBAND XXXXX, IN THE UK AS THE SPOUSE OF A TIER 1 (GENERAL) applicant. you have submitted a copy of you sponsor's passport bio data page and a copy of a tier 1 (general) migrant visa issued to him on xxxxx. You have failed to submit any evidence of his circumstances before this time and i am not satisfied on the evidence before me that he has lived in the uk over 12 months. Therefore, your spouse is required to show that he has available funds £1,600 for you over a 3 month period immediately preceding your application. You have submitted two bank statements to support your application, xxxxxxxxxxxxx this statements have a closing balance of xxxxxxxxxxxx both bank statements were over one month old at the time of your application. i therefore refuse your application under paragraph 319c(g) of the immigration rules MY HUSBAND APPLIED FOR THE APPEAL DIRECTLY TO AIT FROM UK, AND FROM THE REASONS GIVEN FOR REFUSING ME VISA, MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN IN UK SINCE 2003. HE COMES TO NIGERIA REGULARLY AND IS GAINFULLY EMPLOYED. HE HAS A VERY GOOD JOB AND WE APPLIED USING A FAT BANK ACCOUNT. I GUESS THE ECO DID NOT TAKE TIME OUT TO VERIFY MY HUSBAND'S EVIDENCE OF CIRCUMSTANCES FROM 2003 TILL 2009. I APPEALED IN APRIL AND SINCE THEN, WE HAVE NOT HEARED FROM AIT PLS KIND PPL OF NAIRA LAND, I SINCERELY NEED your ADVICE WETHER I SHOULD RE-APPLY OR WAIT FOR AIT. BUT I REALLY NEED TO BE WIT MY HUSBAND, THANX. DARLSHARL hello wonderful ppl! i really want to thank VOR AND ERICKO 2K2, my appeal was successful, i got a letter from AIT yesterday, so what do i do next? should i go to d embassy and present the letter or get a lawyer? |

Hello everyone. Please i need your help. I was refused visa to be with my husband in april 2008, because i didn't present evidence of communication, with the right to appeal. In january 2009 there was a hearing London, which my husband went for, and since then we haven't heard anything. Am worried, i don't know if this is right or there's a problem with my appeal. Please i need your advice. |

ghafleks:That school is not registered, i just checked Homeoffice website and it was updated on the 8th of this month, that school is not there. Ask them to refund u the part payment u made cos BHC can only use Homeoffice list not ASIC. One more thing, i also checked the school website and it uses .com schools in the uk uses .ac.uk, not .com |

Re: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by erico2k2(m): 3:13pm On Jan 12, 2010 |
@darlsharl if you have got your promulgation letter look at the date on it, the Home office has up to 5 working days to appeal the deccission, if this elaps then you got to wait for a maximum period of 6 weeks before you can complain but they usually give you a call and arrange a date for you interview/visa issuance before the 6 weeks, if they dont call you in the 4th week you can mail the determination team,Im gonna get you thier Email address in my next reply OK! |

Re: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by GRACEtime: 1:23pm On Jan 13, 2010 |
My case is as follows: In 2008, I applied for a student visa to UK and the application was refused on the 02/01/2009. The reason the ECO gave was that I) It was not clear to him how the course will be of benefit to me. II) I had only worked for 3 months with my employer an then decided to travel out, so he was not satisfied that I shall return to my employment after study. III) I my salaries did not reflect in my bank statement of account and that the statement was 4 months old. IV) My sponsor financial circumstances were not clearly stated and he was not satisfied the money will be made available for my study. ON THE GROUND OF PARA 57 OF HC 395 Para 57(ii) & Para 57(Viii) In my application, I clearly stated how the course will help me both in my present employment and in my future career. I also enclosed some pages of job vacancies advertised in Nigeria dailies. By the time of my application, I had worked for more than 2 years in the employment. I submitted my appointment letter, pay slips. I also inform the ECO that my company does not pay through banks, they pay in cash. My sisters who want to pay for my air ticket submitted her bank statements and tax clearance certificate while my uncle submitted his personal bank statement, copies of his share certificate, and documents of his double flat apartments which he rented out. He wrote an undertaking declaring to take the responsibility of funding. I therefore appealed against the decision of the ECO. I just received the determination of the tribunal. The appeal is disallowed. The reason the immigration judge gave was (i) That the bank statement of account my sponsor provided was rather pertaining to his business and could not be used to prove his financial means. (ii) That the annual income (about 130,000 naira) of my sister was not enough to contribute for my study. With my notice of appeal, I submitted (i) A more recent bank statement (ii) Another letter of undertaking from my sponsor, a detailed description of his means/source of income and expenditure with receipts and invoices/ bank drafts. (iii) Letter from my employer confirming that I had actually been working with them. (iv) I also attached deposit slips from a co-corporative society I saved some money with (about 200,000 naira) and more copies of recent job adverts can i sort for reconsideration, if yes, how do go round it. |
Re: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by justwise(m): 1:39pm On Jan 13, 2010 |
@GRACEtime To be honest with u, i can see where the ECO is coming from. Studying here is very expensive, using a business account was a bad idea cos that money is for business, your uncle is not going to close his business and give u all the money for your studies here, Annual income of 130,000 naira is far too little, thats is abot £600. From all u have writen, its clear that the prob is meeting the financial requirements. u need have about 4m naira in your account. If u are coming to do your masters here, schools fees here ranges from £8,900-£14000 depending on the university and the city then your maintenance money which is £7,200 if your school is in london and £5,400 for outside london . |
Re: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by GRACEtime: 6:38pm On Jan 13, 2010 |
THNKS A LOT JUSTWISE FOR THE PROMPT REPLY. IT WAS NOT THAT ONLY 130,000 IS THE STATEMENT. THE 130,000 IS WHAT THE TAX OFFICERS DECLARED AS MY SISTERS ANNUAL INCOME. ABOUT 1.2 MILLION WAS IN MY SISTERS ACCOUNT, BOTH THE DOMICILIARY AND THE LOCAL. AND SHE STATED THE SHE ONLY PAYS FOR MY AIR TICKETS. MY UNCLE WHO IS MY MAJOR SPONSOR HAS ABOUT 2.59 M ie ABOUT 10,672 POUNDS. WHEN I APPLIED, THE TIER 4 THING HAS NOT COME ON BOARD. WE CALCULATED BASE ON WHAT WAS OBTAINABLE THEN. WHAT I AM ASKING IS IF I CAN APPLY FOR RECONSIDERATION. |
