Forget the unnecessary hype on this thread. Nwakali is a good player. His not playing in a top league is definitely not because of lack of talent. I was really impressed with his calmness on the ball.

I was a huge Barca golden generation fan and nwakali is my type of player

I think I have already penned down my World Cup playoff qualifier team . Sadiq Umar for Osimhen (Osimhen , Awoniyi and Olayinka in tha order .
Ejuke for Denis . Or Ademola Lukman
Chukwueze should watch his back . In his good form he can be a game winner

I would prefer to keep our midfielders , they can get better .

Back line also they can be better ... just worried about Balogun .

This squad will do justice to the World Cup qualifier against any team my confidence has been restored

See how commentator is using Ajayi's block to advise young players

I Stan a man who can look beautiful while making top class blocks
That Ajayi would have been a great defender if he had just a little bit of added pace

Iwobi couldn't complete one cross in DT game. Go watch an again grin
He was just running with d ball aimlessly like a typical Gernot Rohr player

Iwobi best position is in the midddle

Besides the wins, we have played well. I give it to Eguavoen.

It’s not about how you start, but how you finish. If Eguavoen doesn’t reach the finals or win this tournament, it will be considered as bad

Ajayi solid and rugged, played as one with a lot to prove, I was impressed.

Ebuehi managed to keep things simple, it appears Aina is currently above him.

Sadiq has played his last minute in this tourney. In fact, there has to be an investigation into why Dessers isn't part of this team.

Olisa Ndah is a gem.

I can't believe this is same Simon we watched under Rohr. Damn! Man just be breaking their waists.

Eguavon head and miles above Rohr's level.

Lol

Well said Baba

Uzoho solid performance for me I have confidence in him than okoye even me self know fit explain how na natural feelings smiley.

Defense pretty solid ekong and ajayi did really well and ekong with his afcon luck always getting a goal hopefully it continues.

Ebuehi never get to disappoint always naturally good in a green white Green jersey.

Collins didn't look like he miss the first two games he just came to man his position as always.

Ndidi the real general silent killer just discharge his duties as always no noice

Nwakali hmmmm the real Field marshall baba with special skill set, odogwu of long Ball abilities the only commander in chief of midfield forces abeg me self don confuse for this ranking grin grin cheesy pretty good performance by our general he manned the armor tank and missile launcher real good wink

Moses Simon keeps on doing the lord's work always driving our enemies with no pity baba literally make like 5 guinea bizza bizza player chop grass grin

Sodiq my man glad he got that goal hopefully he will taste more solid food to keep him balanced going forward

Oyenkuru glad he had a minute

Other players where decent more wins going forward.
This meme below is for our coach wink

You are right about the through ball to Sadiq to and the other pass. But that's about it

A Midfielder job is very simple when you have the ball you attack when you don't have the ball you defend.

Under these key performance indicators he was very poor .

Work rate - very very poor.
Backtracking - very poor
Tackles - very poor
Blocks - very poor
Closing down space - oor
Interception- poor
Passing - below average
Physicality - very poor

This is where he fails woefully.

If not for Ndidi and Ajayi covering for him he was essentially a liability in midfield.

Guy did you watch this game? When sergio b does it, no one complains but when a black man do it, all he’ll break lose

I must say the influence of Nwakali would have been better felt if we had deadlier strikers. Let me go watch the movie, “When Osimhen returns”

How on earth Rohr was able to imprison Simon Moses on the pitch for five years needs to be studied in universities. How can a player go from a bang average defensive fullback to prime Neymar with just a change of coach? What the heck was Gernot doing to Simon?!

I'm not even angry with Rohr. I'm astounded.

About Jibola Adebola...
Truth be told, he did well.. His passing and set piece were on point... He could have had an assist from that beautiful ball to Sadiq...His main problem was his work rate off the ball... I think going forward, Eguavon shouldn't bring him on for games that are too physical...But when we need somebody to stabilize the midfield, he's definitely the man for the job..

As for Sadiq, the goal won't take off the fact that he was poor today..he's been poor all tournament... Seriously,he has disappointed those of us that clamoured for his call up..The knockout stage is serious business...he should remain on the bench .I'll prefer Olayinka in his place...

In this tournament, I disagree. Ejuke has a better work rate. He needs to improve in decision making. Chuks on his part never start yet, but may explode as we progress.

Ebuehi verdict :

I would say I was a little bit disappointed, he was comfortable in defense but he was not very adventurous in attack well, scorecard 7/10
Even in defense, he was shaky. I wasn't too impressed and he was clearly tired

Eguavon really knew what he was doing when he called up Ndah and Nwakali..Both of them are good passes of the ball...

Meanwhile, Rohr had a problem of lack of creativity for many years, but never tried to find a solution to it aside moving Iwobi to AM..He even moved Aribo to a deeper role... I'm waiting for the clueless too class team that will soon hire Rohr...
