And this same Rohr once converted Samuel Kalu (another potential X-factor killer winger) into a wingback! The White Onigbinde's fetish for defensive football led him into destroying our brightest attacking talent while spouting his "we don't have specially gifted players" line to whoever cared to listen.

May the gods forgive me for once believing in this Arch-Carpenter!

We play like we are hungry. That should be the spirit regardless of who we meet.

It is very good that these players are vastly improving in the areas they are mostly criticized.

EJuke won 4 tackles only behind Ndidi who has 6. Frank Onyeka has 3.
Moses Simon completed 7 dribbles, Ejuke completed 3.
Simon with goal bound shots in recent games is now more productive as a forward and it is a good booster for the team.

Besides the wins, we have played well. I give it to Eguavoen.

Super Eagles have not played against a strong team especially a team with a strong attack..

It's normal to play well against teams like sudan, equatorial guinea, an underperforming Egypt..

Eguavoen major advantage for now is the fact that he is playing attacking football if Super Eagles concedes first and changes to a defensive pattern then SE will be in trouble.

Hopefully eguavoen doesn't change his attacking game.

My friend these so called Minnows have given a good account of themselves even in terms of scoring

In this tournament, I disagree. Ejuke has a better work rate. He needs to improve in decision making. Chuks on his part never start yet, but may explode as we progress.

Ejuke just Dey dribble himself. Yes! Chuks has not been impressive but he created chances with his passes.

Chuks is still a better player than Ejuke.

We seek small gains by making conscious efforts to stay defensive to win a game. Instead of working towards achieving a formula that will make us one of the top teams in the World. We decide to drop creative players that will boost our play in the long run for players who offer more defensively that will help us seek a small win.

We are not in any way working towards a formidable side with a short term Conservative strategy.

Eguavon really knew what he was doing when he called up Ndah and Nwakali..Both of them are good passes of the ball...

Meanwhile, Rohr had a problem of lack of creativity for many years, but never tried to find a solution to it aside moving Iwobi to AM..He even moved Aribo to a deeper role... I'm waiting for the clueless too class team that will soon hire Rohr...
Rohr, a bitter-sweet experience.

But imagine say na Eguavoen de with us at Russia 2018! Aye mi

All round contribution, I give it to Ejuke.I believe Chuks is a better player. Just rating their performances so far in this AFCON.

More like Rohr was scared to his boxers and decided no adventurous play or he lacks the capability of building a strong setup to tear up tough oppositions. Either way, our display yesterday was close to atrocious.

Osimhen would have stat padded this Afcon. He would have run all the 3 defences of this group stage ragged!

I think we need to work on the team's play and set-up than just positions of players. We are too conservative as a team and it is affecting the performances of the players.

He obviously came to this Afcon with large pockets. There is no midfielder he hasn't found accommodation for in his pockets

Ndah is good...but he had so many back pass....
I wish Ebuehi dribble wasn't offside....he would have had an assist or goal, this would HV further increased his stats and make a statement in dz afcon

Good result from the team but for the first time, we saw real weaknesses a good side can exploit. The Guinea Bissau team was well-coached for the game. They studied our strategy and exploited some weaknesses.

The half-space gaps were exploited and this happened due to the midfielders pushing forward. The coaching crew will need to sort that out fast. If the midfielders push, a full-back must sit. It should be systematic. We need to keep covering gaps as we exploit our opposition with our attacking play.

We are also vulnerable to long balls. I think the Guinea Bissau team reflected what Eguavoen wants to achieve with our team. I believe unlike us, the Guinea Bissau team has been working on it for some years while we are just a few weeks in.

So our weak point remains defensive gaps and I believe by going through the tape, the coaching crew can spot it and come up with a better routine for our attacking play.

Sadiq vs Olayinka is a dilemma.

For the running Olayinka does, he lacks opening, which can be sorted out in training.

Sadiq has a huge presence but his ball-playing decisions can get you worried.

However, he is also a hard worker, has a huge presence. You can not miss him on the field. But, boy does he have a poor left foot.

Olayinka did not have the room to really show what he offers offensively.

Noooo. I want the trophy but I'll apply the Goodjoe's rule here. So long as the team continues to develop in quality, trophies will come, either now or later.

We have a finishing problem. We create loads and do not bury. That is one aspect that must be worked on. We need to work better as a unit when attacking. We dwell too long on the ball sometimes (that is individual) but with sharper combinative play, we can break defensive walls.

We need to work on creating more clean chances.

You can not blame anyone. People wanted Ekong and Nacho dropped too. It is the poor system that made the players look poor. With a better system, people can appreciate the quality of the players.

We are still a work in progress but I think we might see the team transform into something better in the coming days. The more the players get to understand the system, the more dangerous they will become.

Our wingers need to learn how to work with their teammates. There is a reason it is called attacking as a unit.

You do not need to do it on your own. When there is no space, just pass the ball, and let the player look for an opening.

It is about creating and exploiting gaps. Not forcing play.
