So we get Nigerian Garrincha? You sabi who be Garrincha?? That guy was magic oooo... But I know little of Okosieme Ndubuisi shaa... but little I read said he was quite the dribbler and ball dancer. Nothing much in terms of clips as compared to others I saw from way back... lol.... hmmm... Elders who watched Ndubuisi Okosieme go know shaa... I no go kee myself when the likes of Chief Icon4s, and Elder Sir Kog45 dey house upstairs naa... hehehehehehe

Nigeria's Garrincha: Victor Moses, Iwobi, Ndidi Will Be Too Hot For Argentina, Croatia To Handle

Former Super Eagles winger Ndubuisi Okosieme has opined that Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho will be Nigeria's key men at the World Cup and the quartet will cause Argentina, Croatia and Iceland problems.

Not taking into account the forfeited match against Algeria, Nigeria scored 11 goals during the African World Cup qualifiers with the quartet contributing to seven goals.

Moses, Iwobi, Ndidi and Kelechi have been named in Nigeria's 28-man roster for the international friendlies against Poland and Serbia later this month.

''I must confess to you that Rohr is doing very well. I went through the 28-man list that he just released for the two international friendlies and I concluded that Eagles mean business,'' Okosieme said to Nigerian Telegraph.

''I’m very happy with the current form of four of our players in top clubs in England. I see Moses, Iwobi, Iheanacho and Ndidi as players that will give Argentina and Croatia trouble.

''They will be too hot for our opponents to handle. Looking at the young crops of talented players we have in that list, Eagles will do wonders in Russia.''

Ndubuisi Okosieme, who was labelled the Nigerian Garrincha during his playing days, represented the Super Eagles at the 1988 African Cup of Nations.

Russia 2018 WC Countdown: 88 days 2 hours to go

Ndubuisi Okosieme.
He was a product of the 1985 Flying Eagles. He alongside Monday Odiaka and Samson Siasia were some of the standout performers from that class.

But just like most other youth players of his time he failed to perform at the senior level.

Odiaka and Okosieme made the Maroc '88 Green Eagles team. A lot was expected of this duo but they didn't leave up to expectations.

The memories of his miss against Cameroon in that final still flashes through my memories alongside the disappointing scream from the late commentator Earnest Okonkwo: "Okosieme ooooo!!!!! ".

That was the last time we saw Ndubuisi Okosieme in the Super Eagles

Full of promises but failed to deliver at the senior level.

His younger Sister Nkeiruka Okosieme featured with the golden generation of the Super Falcons (late 90s to mid 2000s)

okosieme was a right winger in 80s and quite frankly he had 'rubber legs' ie a dribbler(especially maroc 88)..it is a stretch though equating him to garrincha

What i want to see in the friendlies.

1. A steady start: In recent games, we seem to start slowly and grow into the game. I will like to see us start faster.

2. 3-5-2 formation, we should get another look at the formation. I will also like to see us switch systems in the middle of a match.

3. New system, we should introduce1 another system and see how that works.

4. Game for Uche Agbo, constantly invited with no games.

5. Goalkeeping, How do the goalkeepers fare? Ezenwa will be rusty. But Akpeyi and Uzoho have been playing.

6. Joel Obi, Does he add something new?
1, 2 and 6 very important

We can manage Ndidi-Ogu combo without Mikel, but we can't manage Ndidi-Onazi combo without Mikel because we will end up losing.Against Senegal we drew with Ogu-Ndidi(no Mikel), against South Africa we lost with Onazi-Ndidi(No Mikel).
Correct. This is because without Mikel, Onazi - Ndidi struggle to build up play. Mikel sometimes drops deep to help out.

so team style of play affect a player but you forget about it when it concern nacho

Nacho is a striker was he blind when he went there

Finally, in all honesty if you are good when you get into the city team you can be made to look excellent considering the quality players around you.

The reality test is to be outstanding when surrounded by average or under average players.

Millwall are playing Kick and Rush bulldog mentality football, it's almost impossible for any technical proficient player to play good football.

they keep sayn the bolded over again...
you can't be doing one thing same way and expect a different result...
the npfl...need a thorough restructuring and organisation.
until that is done....one who expect a greater progress next season...should believe a stranger who tells him he is not his mother's child.
