Huh I haven't seen the second goal yet but I will definitely blame Awaziem for the first goal. I don't know what instructions were given to the players as to who would mark whom, but what I know that it was Awaziem who was beaten by the header for the first goal. O pari tbaba1234: |

Messi is extremely strong bros, you can't take him off the ball easily and when he guards the ball, you rather foul him than think of dispossessing him easily. That is strength football wise. bengine: |

I'm not referring to your initial AM tussle you were discussing referencing Ebere Eze. I'm looking at it from a bigger pics. We tend to want all these players, but truth is that Naija is also very competitive and a domineering int'l career is not guaranteed for somenof these FBs players... But to your question, at the moment, 2 AMs. But in the future (2 to 3 yrs), we'd have about 4. Nwakali, Ifeanyi Matthews, Yahaya etc. Now if we want to start living in fantasies like @Forgiveness, then we could start adding guys like Lookman, Ejaria, Onomah and it starts becoming herculean for all of them to play regularly for us. tbaba1234: |

Dedebanky85: At this point, Mikel Obi is the only one playing that role well. Experiments with Etebo and Iheanacho have not worked out so far. We are lean in that area currently. Eze in my opinion can fill that role right now or immediately after WC.. He has already trained with Nigeria so Rohr knows him Kelechi Nwakali and the others need a couple of years to be ready 4 Likes |

edi287: Are we not talking about the Spanish second division? The point of the video is, 1) that he is considered a legend in Granada and 2) That he scores great goals, that video oozes of quality and class that can't be denied. Ighalo may not be Benzema but he is a player who always plays to help his team. Our wingers have to be willing to link up with their striker because right now they(Coughs ViMo) are a black hole that the ball goes into and never returns. |

So the fact Mikel was a DM for club overruled the fact that he was traditionally an AM for us? Yahaya would never be considered as a WB for Naija the same way we would never consider V. Moses a WB for us. Alaba is a WB for club but AM or CM for country. @Tbab123, this paragraph is not directed to you but @Clementoke, (Idk how to quote numerous responses on this NL. It'sa struggle here lol), at the under17s African Nations cup in Morroco, Ifeanyi Matthews was the AM. Failed the test for the Dubai WC and Abdullahi Alfa came in as an AM/CM. He switched a lot with Yahaya. In the under 20s Afcon in 2015, Matthews was primarily the AM while Idowu was the DM until Nwobodo emerged and altered the formation that made Matthews play CM more. But at the WC in New Zealand, due to the presence of Yahaya, the game against Brazil, Matthews played CM and yahaya AM until his injury. For MFM Matthews was their AM, but at Pillars because of Rabiu Ali he had to play CM/DM. In his initial days at Lillestrom, Matthews started out as an AM but moved to CM the next season. I grouped him as an AM cos that's the position he started out as. I hope to find the article where Manu Garba praised him and said his pass is almost half a goal. Is he a CM now? yes, but does he have the technical ability to play AM? yes. You get my drift now? tbaba1234: 2 Likes |

Dedebanky85: Why would Yahaya never be considered a RB?? You seem to forget that Mikel was the second best player at an under 20 tournament and was capped by Nigeria soon after... So even as he was being converted to a defensive player, he was still playing an offensive role for Nigeria. If Yahaya moves to a bigger club and continues playing as a RB. Nigeria will most likely call him as a right back... Ndidi was a CB before he was converted to a DM. Iheanacho was not a CF in the youth ranks. Musa Muhammed started out as a CB in the youth ranks, Chidiebere Nwakali was a right back at the CAF under 17 and at the start of the under 17 WC. Yahaya right now is a right back.. That is the role, he has played for a couple of years now. Youth players are converted all the time.. 1 Like |

I once said it was too early to say 90% of the team for Russia is already known to Rorh. The point is the outcome and performance of these players in friendlies can always move him one way or the other.. If we had done excellently over those friendlies, there wouldn't be any talk like this.. but I like what's going on. Let's keep our fingers crossed.. Eventually, there should be a LEAST a few surprises tbaba1234: |
