I'm so much disappointed as you are. I supported Liverpool through out the match.

It is a bitter and very sad moment seeing your best player been injured intentionally. But you need to look at the larger picture. Teams do a lot of things that might not be fair to the opponent to edge their opponents. This is not the first time it will happen and it won't be the last.
Italy took out Henry and Zidane in 2006 before they could win the WORLD CUP. France took out Onazi so as to get edge over us. Neymar, and so on.

We have seen so many cases where players are brought on to draw foul off their opponents, diving etc. These things might be wrong but they are part of the BIGGER PLAN

Italy also took out Amuneke and Amokachi to beat Nigeria.

Nigeria also did that once. With Nigeria being one man down Bright Omakaro took out an Algerian player, after they had made all their substitutions, just to make the number of players on the pitch 10-10. Nigeria went ahead to win it via penalties.

Definitely experience is never a guarantee. Just like talent alone is never a guarantee but it is always better when you have a goalkeeper you have seen perform over and over and you can trust he is relatively reliable.

You cannot go and pick a rookie and put in goal and be comfortable and say experience doesn't matter.

And the truth is the goalkeeping department is where experience matters most

And also note that for the WC Akpeyi does not fall into the category of experienced goalies.

But abeg answer Petrobros' question, can you hire an inexperienced driver for yourself or for your company?

At the bolded, it is not whether a keeper is a rookie or experienced. The point is, who is better. A rookie Donaruma, in his first game for Milan is a better choice than the current Akpeyi.

Finito.

Better is always the right choice. Experience is never a guarantee.

I will take a Rookie driver who I have seen drive in a careful manner and respects the highway code, over an experienced driver who has had multiple accidents leading to the death of many.

Experience is not a guarantee.

I can bet about 80% of people do not want Akpeyi in goal for us despite all his experience. Emma Daniel was a better option to Akpeyi despite Akpeyi's experience. Ederson is a better choice to Claudio Bravo despite Bravo's experience and multiple titles. Joe Hart despite his limited experience was a preferred choice to Shay Given despite all the experience of Shay Given.

Experience is not a guarantee.
Experience can never be a stand alone quality in a gk. Rufai still has experience oo. The talk should be about experience coupled with ability.

Uzoho’s RC Deportivo Fabril Draw At Home, Out Of Promotion Race; Chukwueze’s Villarreal Reach 2nd Round
May 27, 2018 12:47 am

Francis Uzoho’s RC Deportivo Fabril – the reserve team of Deportivo La Corina, missed a chance to gain promotion to the Spanish second division from the third tier Segunda B despite winning 3-2 in the second leg of their promotion play-offs clash against Extremadura on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

Uzoho missed the encounter due to international assignment with Nigeria’s Super Eagles. RC Deportivo Fabril and Extremadura ended it 4-4 on aggregate, but the latter advanced with higher away goals, having won the first leg 2-1.

Giovanni Zarfino gave Extremadura a fifth minute lead but a 12th minute strike by Uxío Da Pena restored parity for the hosts, RC Deportivo Fabril.

Edu Expósito doubled the lead for RC Deportivo Fabril in the 21st minute before Emilio Lucas made it 3-1 in extra time. Álex Barrera scored a consolation for Extremadura in the 107th minute of the defeat.

Uzoho who is out of contract at Deportivo La Coruna kept 16 clean sheets and conceding 21 goals in 28 appearances.

Meanwhile, Samuel Chukwueze’s Villarreal Team B advanced to the second round of the promotion pla-yoffs on a 3-3 aggregate despite losing 2-0 to Athletic Bilbao B in the second leg played on Saturday.

First half goals from Gorka Guruzeta and Manuel López were not enough to secure a next place in the next round for Athletic Bilbao B.

As beautiful as football is, it is not a gentleman's game.

Sir, through out your followership of the game, have you ever seen a team that won fair play award win the cup in the same tournament? If so, does it happen often?

Nnaa, stop defending that akpuda! Victor Moses is not a world class player and his shortcomings should not be tolerated. Is it because Onyekuru is injured ? Onyekuru and Simon can play everything VicMo has to play and still be as wasteful as him.
Yes I think Onyekuru would have made him sit up if he (Onyekuru) were present. He's the closest rival to Moses.

Before nko! If na you, you go carry Lokosa go world cup?

Hahahahahaha! grin
I will if he proves that the goals and assists that earned him a place in the List wasn't a fluke or flash in the pan. The coaching crew are not foolish for inviting him. You talking as if home based players haven't been to the World Cup and performed in the past. Go check history.

The dude should be given a fair chance in the subsequent in training and the friendlies to allow him prove himself. Who knows. He could be the genius we've been hoping for. 18 goals in 21 appearances have you ever heard that happen before in the Nigerian league? Even in Europe it's not common.
Come on.
