Osimhen. This was a player some were already reserving the number 9 jersey for, even before he signed a professional contract.

Look at Iheanacho too. At 22 we are still looking for a system that suits him.

The earlier we stop overrating U17 achievements the better for us.

Top youth players often do not become top professionals.

I know she was part of the WAFU team just like a few others in this U20. That WAFU team is just like the CHAN Eagles team. We are referring to the Main Super Falcons team.

I have had people attack me with vitriolic rhetoric and disgusting abuse on this matter.

We are a country ruled mainly by thieves and liars that's unfortunately reflects us. It is often said the rulers if a country reflect the people of a country.

If there is an opportunity to age cheat 90% of our footballers will do so. Integrity and honesty are no longer regarded as virtues that's how low we have become.

We have our youths involved in the most satanic and perverse activities for the sake of money. Ritual killings, etc

Because we didn't not have AUTOMATIC BIRTH DATA CAPTURE. We have to rely on the integrity of people in a nation where there is none. People's definition of integrity and honesty is so warped that nothing is spared. We have so called Church CEO or popularly called GO's, Bishops and Men of God. Who are without integrity.

Is anybody shocked about the MRI failure rate ❓ Add to that that there is still a gap of error in accuracy that allows possible 21 year olds to be classed as U17. Tells us the problem is reducing but very far off from being totally eradicated.

Every year, we have large numbers failing. Last year, it was 23. Almost half of the players decimated. Even in 2013 and 2015, we had large numbers failing.

It is terrible. For the whole of East Africa, we had only 12 fail. With simple screening methods, coaches can reduce cheats.

I am not disturbed about the number that failed. To me it is good riddance. But next time they should line up a larger number for the test so that the impact of those who will fail will not be felt much. It should also be done in relatively good time. At least 2/3 months before the tournament kicks off.

As you rightly said this has happened in years past and we come out strong.

I still remain hopeful on those that would represent the team.

No one rates Nigeria football except Nigerians.

True talk

Before the world cup draw, how many of you guys here could name Icelandic national football players?....we started knowing them because they were our opponents....its the Icelandic who will know their up and coming starlets

We know where our boys are because we are Nigerians who show interest in our footballing situation

The REAL question is....what does the average person in other countries say when Nigeria is mentioned

If you ask an ordinary Italian citizen....for example....how many Nigerians will he be able to mention?

Its just the way it is right now

We have a number of them on the local scene, Ebube Duru did well against Atletico and there is also Ikeuwem Utin and Gabriel Wasa. Ebube is the better defender out of them but both Wasa and Utin are masters at everything that has to do with going forward.

Foreign I know of Chima Akas and Kingsley Madu.

We have already seen a lot of Madu and Akas. None are national team standard.

I would have said Ikwuoem Utin but he forgets his defensive duties when he attacks. He was badly exposed in the CAF champions league.

Maybe Ebube.

I have watched Madu's club games and he has not improved. Piss poor if you ask me.

Akas played for the home based eagles and under Oliseh. I have never been impressed.

Very correct. Have watched most of them played at the stadium being someone who always watch the local league. Some are good but never get NT call up. Though I don't know their names. It's easier to get the names when you watch on television. Generally, they are not technically sound. Too much high balls.

Ikouwem Utin is a good prospect but still needs time to developed. Let us see him again at the AYC in January.

You said WE had seen them already, that;s why I asked because I know those 2 guys were at some point tipped to be our next LB. Sadly Madu has not been able to kick on from where he left off at Trencin but to call him piss poor is extremely harsh.

Akas recently helped them qualify for CHAN before going to Sweden where he is a starter. You say u have not been impressed but u have no tangible reason why.

Yes they were tipped to be our next LBs but their development stalled. Sorry, they are not good enough for now.
