we actually need a woman in the glass house preferably a former player maybe as VP2.
Aisha Falode came close but the frustration given her was obvious. Her kind are passionate about helping us reach heights. But potbellied men feel they know better.

The glass den wouldnt help the women but be expecting results.

I know the kine way SAFA for don sama the Bayana Bayana will allll forms of support and goody goodies if they had beaten us in Accra that night. Their league sef for get money spenders.

But see how the whole Naija take react to the Falcons as champs again..... it died in jo time and all we were hearing was allowance paymeny. smh. Pinick even went as far as doing a clip with them in a meeting to show he meant business, a lame attempt to me.

Chairman, the level of the women game in Nigeria has dropped. It is not just a coaching issue. Look at the last U17 and U20 teams. So woeful. Where will the talents emerge from?

Well I can pardon u because u didn't follow the Falcons of the 90s to 2000s.

Nigeria made three U20 semifinals with most of these girls so your Where will the talent come from' case doesn't hold water.

Who said I didn't follow them in the 90s and 2000s? I might have been following them like I do now but I sure was following them at least at big competitions

So because Buhari is richer than all of us we should not criticise him? See drop this narrative it is annoying. He is representing Nigeria, that gives us the right to criticise him because if he loses Iheanacho did not lose, Nigeria lost. I don't know him, I don't know what he will become and sometimes I believe he takes it too far with his criticism of Iheanacho like I have already told him at least three times but saying that because he is of the same age with Iheanacho and hasn't achieved much compared to him then he should keep his mouth shut is not fair.
likewise it is not fair to continue to berate the lad all because he is having it rough presently in his career...

I never said it was wrong to criticize him, but doing it in a way that it now means hatred makes no sense...
he has never said anything good of that lad...everyday either he wish him evil in the long run or something else...
it has become a lifestyle to him.
berating a player is not fair at all... if we in our studies and careers we are not having it easy... then we should learn to as well put ourselves in the shoes of this footballers.

The result of those 3 consecutive top 4 finishes is what we have today as the Falcons team. But when u look at players coming behind u will have to ask the question that "where will the upcoming talents come from?" The 2015 and 2017 U20 didn't leave to expectations. Same goes for the U17 teams. That is my point.

Well, people that really followed the Falcons of the Old have attested to their quality compared to what we have today.

Again, this is not just a coaching problem. The quality of the players has declined.

There is nothing wrong with criticisms. In fact that is what we do here most. We criticise players for them to get better. I am also one of those that have criticised Iheanacho in times past. But it was mostly for guys to lower the hype and allow the boy develop first before we start shouting his name.

But the comments I have read from that guy goes beyond criticism. This lad personally wants Iheanacho to fail. I don't know what point he is trying to prove undecided

So did you expect the girls to finish in the last 4 till death does them part? We were not talking about the future we were talking about the players available to the coach right now.

True talk boss. Talent no be everything
Icon4s:

Egyptian players are not typically as talented as players from West Africa. What they really have going for them is their very good tactical awareness. I think their league is highly responsible for that.

In all my years of followership of the game Mohammed Salah is their best export to the European leagues.

The days of perpetua nkwocha, mercy akhide, patience dede etc. At some time we were on the verge of making it to the semi finals of the WC. Back then I remembered we had some firebrand women admins, people like Bola jegede and aisha falode etc. Perhaps a lack of investment and most likely no plan or vision has caused the regression.
semifinals? not sure. our best performance was in 1999 when we lost to Brazil 4-3 in the first knockout game. we nearly did an 'Atlanta 96' still one of my best Super falcons game

The last 2 Falconets teams 2015 & 2017 have largely been disappointing. Reason why there are little or no inclusion of quality since after Oshoala, Oparanonozie, Ordega and co. This has also affected the quality of the Team.

If you believe the team has not dipped in quality and their only problem is the coach, well I leave you with that. But those of us that have seen the game for a much longer time know the difference between then and now in terms of players quality.

Must u argue everything? Everyone here that followed the old Falcons team has acknowledge they were better than what we have today. You still dey argue. Well, na icon4s dey get time for all this kind blind argument. U obviously were too young to know anything about the Falcons team of the past. So just sit and listen to what other are saying. Haba!

One of my best games of Patience Avre where she repeatedly turned a Brazilian Girl inside out as if she was testing Okrika (second hand) shirt at the Road side market. Ended sadly with a red card to Patience Avre. Memorable and wonderful game.
