No disrespect o
buh you started this well buh ended it in a Rather nonsensical manner

We just defend and hope on luck??

Like we did against Ukraine ryt??
Let's also not forget this same Ukraine still defeated Portugal with CR7 on the pitch

Or u expect us to play Brazil like they are our mate

Ukraine is not a top team and therefore not a yardstick. They are not in the FIFA top 20. Even Senegal ranks above them.

That they beat Portugal proves nothing, just as it proves nothing that Madagascar beat us.

So like I said earlier, against top teams all we can do is defend deep for 90. minutes and hope on luck.

We are not there yet.

I disagree, we outplayed Ukraine for large spells and really should have trashed them properly.

The same Ukraine beat Portugal yesterday.

We love to underrate our team but we are building a very strong side

Here is my response below.

We are saying the same thing.

Nigeria is not there yet. Our players are young and not yet consistent.

Senegal beat us before the Afcon. Algeria beat us at the Afcon.

2018 world cup is past. This is 2019. Algeria and Senegal topped Africa. Both teams have what it takes to challenge any top team in the world today.

As for us, all we can do for now is defend for 90 minutes and hope on luck.

We are not there yet.

Senegal beat us doesnt mean they are better than us bro

So nigeria doesnt have what it takes to challenge any top team in the world and Senegal and algeria have right?

Sorry me and you are not saying the same thing, you are speaking of defending for 90 minutes, have you even watch senegal play?

So based on your point we are also ranked higher than Algeria so them beating us also proves nothing.

The same Ukraine is 8 points above Portugal on the qualifying table and you are saying beating them proves nothing

So according to you Senegal didn't defend against Brazil abi, they went all out and Dominated the game like Spain or Germany??

Senegal have world class players. On paper they are better than us. We've played them twice recently and both times they had an edge over us. (The first time was a draw we managed to come back from by a penalty)

No point arguing about that. They are better than us. Likewise Algeria.

The problem is that many of you are so much excited with the prospect of our team that you have been blinded to reality.

Algeria beat Senegal twice this year. And they just beat Colombia. That proves something.

Ukraine beating Portugal (With C Ronaldo) just once proves nothing until they replicate this feat consistently. Until then, Ukraine is not a yardstick and that we beat them does not mean we have arrived.

Senegal did not defend deep like we did. They have Mane and others.

Ukraine have been consistent maybe you've not been following them. They are yet to lose for about a year now,and had not conceeded in about 5 games b4 facing us (and that run included keeping a clean sheet against this same Portugal in Lisbon). So they've been consistent and using rankings to judge how good a team isn't Right at all like u said Senegal lost twice to Algeria who are 28 places below them in the FIFA ranking. So u trying to discredit our performance against Ukraine by saying they are not ranked as high as Senegal is wrong. We played against an inform team and we put up a good performance.

Nah, Iwobi is critical to how we play. We have no other creative midfielder.

Even though, he had an average game against Brazil, he still created the best chance with Osimhen in the first.
Baba, Yes! when playing less superior opposition he should start.
What I know is that Etebo will not sit on the bench in Rohr's era for Iwobi.
Having Iwobi coming into games in the second half should be our secret weapon.

I disagree.

Etebo is not as creative as Iwobi.. When Iwobi is on form, he is our best offensive player as everything goes through him. Against Ukraine, everything collapsed when Iwobi was removed.

Even against Brazil, we suffered going forward because Iwobi was not playing well.

We will struggle to create without Iwobi. I think Ebere Eze is the only player that can replace him now

Senegal played with their full squad.
We had 3 first team players out.
There was a time in the game we camped Brazil in their half.
What we lacked was quality substitute. Our players tired out cos the weather situation was above 30 degrees in the second half.
Senegal scored through a fortunate penalty.
So what's your point exactly.

Aribo will move forward to support Oshimen while Etebo and Ndidi shield the defence.
We don't need Iwobi's creativity with Aribo's and Oshimen's movement.
Etebo and Ndidi just need to move the ball forward faster to our pacing wingers and with Aribo's and Oshimen's movement and runs, we should be able to destroy any team.

Aribo is a runner not a creator. He is not the player to create chances for you, Iwobi is. Iwobi created the most chances for Arsenal last season. Ndidi and Etebo are not the players to pick out passes to the wings. They are hard workers.

You need people running off the wingers.. Aribo does not give you that. Iwobi did that for the goal against South Africa at the AFCON and against Ukraine.

Senegal fared better than us in the game. They took the game to Brazil. The ball possession was almost equal for both teams. and shots was 11 : 10 unlike ours.

As for us, the game could have ended 5 - 1 to Brazil. They hit the bar twice!

Now who are the world class players we missed in the game that could have made a difference? Samuel Kalu or etebo? grin

Conclusion: We overate our team. In Africa we are steeply behind Algeria and Senegal. However we are good prospects for the future.

You are deluded by thinking that what makes a good team his the arrays of stars in the team.

Are you sure you watched the Brazil vs Senegal friendly? The only meaningful attack the Senegalese had in the encounter resulted to the penalty.

The defended all day and were very physical and robust.

Make sure you have your facts right before writing trash.

Why didn't they create anything meaningful to score instead of getting a pk? U re just biased and pained that Rohr and his boys didn't lose the match so that u will have a reason to jeck off.

My brother... I am beginning to have some doubts about them but let me stay strong.

The team lost to Sao Paulo U-18 in a friendly shaa... 2-1.

They will play Korea in another friendly on the 16th.

The likes of Ubani, Fawaz, Amoo and Tijani are still genuinely exciting talents we hope go on to be stars.

Senegal took the game to Brazil! You should be the one to be asked if you indeed watched the game.

Now at the bolded, more often than not, that is the case. Having a star studded team or a world class player on your team cannot be over emphasized. Players like Ronaldo score hat tricks to qualify their team.

You forgot so soon who dumped you out of AFCON?

Mahrez did! .........not the Algerian TEAM. grin

To stand a chance at being world beaters we need world class players! Until then, like I say...we keep defending deep and hoping on luck.
