TheGoodJoe: What is Pinnick destroying? You know the state of our football before he came on board? Pinnick is surrounded by greedy vultures and he sometimes has to assent to their request to save his head, but don't come here to say Pinnick is destroying anything because he built the current Nigerian football structure from the ground up |

Eartquake1: I said foundation. We are celebrating Osimhen and Chukwueze today due to serious underground work done at the U17 level. Under the last U17 before this set, they were abandoned. Now we are not doing proper scouting as before. That is destroying the foundation. Something we cherished and celebrated. Which structure? Alas park bus. 1 Like 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe: As if he steps down, the northern vultures that would take over from him would be as clean as snow? This one doesn't know Nigerian politics, these guys want Pinnick down by all means because suddenly the funds coming to NFF are bigger than before that's why they are using EFCC and ICPC to tear down his throat He has to make these little concessions to appease these vultures |

Eartquake1: In charge of scouting does not mean adequate provision which must be done above. Under Maigari's time as the nff boss, he stopped all forms of sentimental selections at the U17 level. That is why we had boys going from selling pure water to udinese. Not big clubs and big agents. If Pinnick insists on thorough scouting and camping, you think Manu Garba will go against it. If the fund to go round the country and scout is not provided, will Manu Garba pluck leaves to do it? 1 Like |

Eartquake1: I did not say he should step down. I want Pinnick to turn a new leaf and let this not happen again. We should go back to the way we used to do it by scouting for the best talents in all parts of the country. |

TheGoodJoe: Did Manu Garba complain to you that adequate funds were not provided? Thomas Dennerby, Gernot Rohr and Paul Aigbogun received full funding from Pinnick what makes you think Manu Garba's case is different 1 Like |

Amunike learning from Louis van Gaal? Nigeria's game was built on a Van Gaal-style domination of possession. No surprise, as Amunike played for Barcelona for three years under the Dutchman in 1997-2000. On Nigeria's U17 success under Emmanuel Amunike which Osimhen broke the goalscoring U17 record. Osimhen's first major breakthrough was playing under a possessive system and that was why he was first picked by Amunike when he held an open screening in Lagos from the best of my knowledge. Osimhen naturally has the instincts for the system and also has the awareness to chase the ball or drive with the ball into open spaces which will make the most from clever build up plays. He was first trained and Nurtured by a Barcelona man. I have no doubt he will excel at Barcelona. My only fear lies with him getting a fair chance to prove himself due to competition from other players who can play the role. |

Eartquake1: From reports, we did not carry out a full and thorough scouting which is a specialty of Manu Garba. He does not need to complain for us to know the fund was not provided. Manu Garba does not change the rules. It comes from higher levels. Pinnick should return back to the way we used to do it. Greedy vulture excuse does not stand. |

Going to Atletico Madrid will not bring the best in Osimhen. Osimhen needs to play in a possessive offensive side which was where he showed insane ability. His philosophy and understanding has helped him cope in systems that do not bring the best from him. He needs to find his way back. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: Manu Garba does not shy away from the news, he would have been the first person blabbing to the press if he was not adequately funded (like the MRI case) Besides they are in Brazil playing club friendlies which is more costlier than the scouting, Manu Garba has gone lazy 1 Like |

Eartquake1: I am talking of releasing money for a nation wide scouting which should have been part of the program drawn by the Pinnick led nff. It did not happen. You can not blame Manu Garba for that. Playing friendly in Brazil does not change the point. 1 Like |

On-form Ofoedu: Rohr should give me a chance futaa.com Oct 18, 2019 3:20 PM On-form Ofoedu: Rohr should give me a chance Chikeluba Ofoedu is scoring goals is Israel and he wants to do the same for the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Nigeria Gernot Rohr is getting this message some weeks ahead of the 2021 AFCON qualifier against Benin. Knowns as ‘Chico’, the 26-year-old has delivered three goals and two assists in nine games for giants Maccabi Tel Aviv. "I believe I have done a lot to attract a call to the National team and I trust I will not disappoint if given a chance to impress,” Ofoedu told Sportaccess. “I know how difficult it is to break into the Super Eagles due to numerous established and emerging talents at the disposal of Gernot Rohr, but I think I can bring something to the team’s attack if called to the team.” "Coach Rohr should give me a chance with the Super Eagles.” So how are ‘Chico’s stats vs Super Eagles strikers? Ofoedu: Three goals, two assists in nine Victor Osimhen (Lille): Eight goals, two assists in 11 Paul Onuachu (Genk): Five goals in seven Peter Olanyika (SK Slavia): Six goals, two assists in 15. The Enugu-born player’s previous clubs include UNTH Healers FC, Enugu Rangers, 1461 Trabzon, Karşıyaka, Samsunspor and Eskişehirspor. https://futaa.com/article/195440/on-form-ofoedu-rohr-should-give-me-a-chance 2 Likes |

Koboko99: Its your choice to commend him that's your prerogative. The topic l have raised is completely different from the one you have. Maybe because your view is narrow and parochial it completely bypassed you that Slimani got a considerable number of votes. The same Slimani that essentially failed in the EPL. There is relevant comparison between KC and Slimani. They are both Leicester city forward players and both have been firing blanks for three seasons. Slimani goes to league one and his almost dead career is Resurrected. The implication is that all hope is not lost for KC, maybe he should find his way to the French league one. But of course you had to misconstrue my comments. 5 Likes |

Eartquake1: Ofoedu career should’ve been better than we are seeing now. He was such a bright prospect playing age group football in Enugu. He played for Rangers briefly before travelling to Turkey. I think he would’ve been such an asset in the under 17 or under 20 team about 10 years ago. He was so good at the time. Btw, Nigeria hosts Togo today in an African nations championship qualifying match at 16.00. No update yet on that. I hope it’ll not be a deja vu. The local lads were woeful the last time they played the Togolese. |
