@bolded. Owngoalnigeria can be such junk journalism. Where did they get the survey that most Nigerians want home-based players? People want the best players for the Eagles, not home-based for home-based sake.

This Guardiola guy is not as good as people think, this is the first time he will be competing in a proper league without a magician (like Messi) in his team.
Sport writers should stop blaming city players abeg...
Conte also inherited a shitty Chelsea team na, a team that finished 10th last season!!
This same city team played in the Champions League semis last season, but the team is now useless all thanks to Guardiola and his useless drills and complicated "tactics"

Rohr with As Racine Coach and former international, Victor Agali after the game.

Rohr was Agali's coach at Nice

Victor Okechukwu Agali! our one time 'New Yekini'.

I love that pitch at the background sha. If an NNL game can have such quality pitch then i give a big ups to the LMC.

Point of Correction. The LMC is only in charge of NPFL nd not NNL

Leicester City footballer Ahmed Musa has been arrested on suspicion of attacking his wife.

The Nigerian striker, 24, who cost the Premier League club a record fee of £16.6million, was quizzed by police at his £850,000 five-bedroom home in Countesthorpe, Leicestershire.

Officers swooped at his home on Tuesday night in response to a domestic abuse complaint, just hours after his side's 2-0 win over Sunderland.

No you don't get me. By Grade A i'm not speaking about African oppositions. I'm thinking way ahead although it may be too early. Just because we beat a physical Cameroon home and away does not mean we can challenge Argentina (for example). Take note that Rohr have been thinking of big physical players in our set up to challenge Cameroon. I'm thinking match-ups. And as soon as we are done with the qualifiers the dynamics changes a great deal. I don't know what you guys are aiming for. Personally i want to see Nigeria in the final game in Russia. Then it is possible we can win the cup. I don't think it is a mere dream, which is why we have to go all the way in making sure we get our best players, and doing everything right. OTHER COUNTRIES ARE NOT SLEEPING. An awkward tackle from Balogun can send us out of the world cup easily. Let's see our players make some mistakes that can be corrected ahead of time. That's what friendlies are for. Personally, I rather have us lose all our friendlies against the best teams in the world so we can fix something we otherwise won't have seen.

Correct guy. grin

You are forgetting that it took Manchester City the last game of last season to qualify for the Champions League Group playoffs. You also did not remember that we played the Champions League playoff games to qualify for the Champions League. We were already a team in decline and Guardiola so far has performed well.

Anyone who does not watch City closely can come up with what your writing there. But an insightful person who is following the team closely will see immense development.

Football is not linear. It is dynamic. The fruits of Guardiola’s work will show in the coming years. His transformation of Sterling and Stones is enough to tell the impact of Guardiola. Aguero showing tremendous improvement in his work rate and defending is another.

The team holds the ball with brilliant abilities. Considering that most of the players are new to the art of the game is brilliant. How many teams in the EPL can create as much chances as City did against Chelsea in the last game?

No! They are indeed exceptional.

Didn't you see Ali goal and assist yesterday? It was awesome.

Dele Alli is a better player than Iheanacho. It's the plain truth.

Besides, Eto and Drogba are not British or European but you na. grin

Iheanacho should leave City. The coach body odour sorry body language suggest he doesn't need Iheanacho and he is wanted out.

Revealed – Players Rohr Plans To Invite For Future Games Ahead Of MFM Stephen Odey

Despite calls from most Nigerians on coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr to include the top scorer in the Nigeria Professional League Stephen Odey in his plans, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal some other plays are well ahead of him.

A source close to the coach revealed, there are about three players, the coach plan to call up to the team for their next friendly games before the AFCON 2019 qualifiers game against South Africa.

Odey who has 13 goals for modest side MFM FC who are
currently pushing for the league title in Nigeria is surprisingly not on the list of the coach potential invitee at least for now.

” Odey is a forward, Super Eagles are well stocked in that department of the pitch although, we still can’t rule out the invitation of new players for some proposed friendly games”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” Presently I know the coach is looking at three players for future invitation, and they are all forwards. Henry Onyekuru of Eupen, Samuel Kalu of Gent and Kingsley Ehizibue who can also operate as a forward aside his primary role as a full back.

” These players are almost certain to be picked ahead of Odey. Rohr won’t call up a player for the sake of calling a player, not his way. Odey will have to wait for his time”.

I will take Dele Alli over him in a heart beat without remorse.

Ali will walk into the starting line-up of 95% of Europe's top clubs let alone city.

People calling for Odey are jst doing so on the sentiments that "we must have local players in the Super Eagles".

In fact Salisu in particular has really earned my respect. Even though he has been in the local scene for long he does not carry the same sentiments all those other local coaches carry else Him for don flood the Super Eagles with 'HIS KANO PILLARS BOYS'.

if the NFF choses for whatsoever reason not to renew Rohr's contract. I would personally recommend Salisu.

See, Rohr does nt have to visit every match venue or watch all MFM and Ikorodu United games.

He has assistant coaches who can do so.

Secondly kickoff time for NPFL games is usually 4pm and that is when a whole lot of league games in Europe would in be on course. That is where almost the entirety of the Super Eagles play and u want him to spend that prime time watching one Ikorodu united vs Wikki Tourist? Haba!
