When Michael Owen sounded the alarm bells about Pep demoralizing iheanacho and his regression under Pep, people were calling him a washed out dinasaur. But this is a player that has played at the highest level of all. Confidence on the part of Iheanacho is key. In fact confidence on the part of any player is the core ingredient. If your coach doesnt have any confidence i you, there is no amount of creativity you can have that will impress him. IN FACT YOU WILL STOP PLAYING YOUR GAME AND START PLAYING THE COACH'S GAME. Ans fact is you may actually suck at that. I remember Ighalo lost confidence in his ability all becausr the goals werent coming and it didnt matter how much games he played, he was always like unsure of what to do with the ball. And when he finally did, he fluffed it and that explains why he could only manage a goal in one season. I believe if you cant score, at least contribute to the good of the team by meaningful touches on the ball, good passes.

Please answer these few questions. Do u see 50,000 fans at training? Is there pressure at training? Is training live on tv and seen across the world? How hard do u get kicked at training? Are u telling us that EPL referees blow training matches for man city? Can u put training goals on a CV?

Let me add more:

Do you get booked for hard tackles during 'Drills'?

During drills do you have to play 10 against 11 where each player doubles his efforts to see off a game?

Do the press criticise players for not doing well during drills?

Do players face opposing fans humiliation during drills?

Do you fight tooth and nail to secure a result during drills?

What about the urgency? Do you play with the same urgency especially when you are down and chasing a goal.

All these experiences are what what makes you the better player.
There is no way match day conditions can be compared to training conditions.

How old is Leroy Sane?! Is he not younger than Iheanacho?! When he came to Manchester City, he was drilled for few Weeks, was given his Chances and he's now an integral Part of the Team.

I remember last Season, Iheanacho was over the Media in England. He was acknowledged as the most clinical in the EPL. He was compared with Rashford and everyone was expecting him to perhaps outshine Rashford and other young Lads in the League this Season.

Alas! If he wasn't given playing Time by Pellegrini, how would the World know how talented he is?! Who's watching Drills and Trainings?! Engineering isn't about Theory, rather Practical - coz I'm expecting an Engineer to show me how it's done, not to tell me!

Jesus..... Iheanacho age mate ought to be recuperating now, yet he's getting a Cameo and gradually returning back to the starting Lineup!

I guess Nolito, despite his Experience, is back to drilling School?!

One mcfc bluemoon site, I personally criticised the signing of Nolito. My point was simple, it lacked ambition. A post that got deleted by their mods. I had the opportunity to watch Nolito grow and never saw him exceptional. He is a product of pure hardwork. He was ahead of Sane but Sane worked hard and became better than him.

I believe in hard work and challenging the best. Most will not write how Sane improved without playing time. That is the hypocrisy that leaks here.

It is a simple fact. Guardiola said, in training, Sane looked a different player with a run, the guy became top.

Just like Sane, I want Iheanacho working hard to displace Gabriel and Aguero. It is a tough task but this push will make him develop faster.

Unfortunately, Sane had an easier task than Nacho.

Funny if you think those 90 minutes games do more than the hours spent on the training pitch.

Answer a simple question and do not zap.

Do you think a regular player in a club like Arsenal who is lazy in training and does not maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Will do better than a player of the same age and ability who has Cristiano Ronaldo's work ethic and lifestyle when he gets a run?

How does fifty thousand fans improve a player better than a player who practices over a hundred freekicks everyday in training?

As I said before, the match performance is the result of the players behind-the-scenes work.

Simple.

U must be joking. I can really imagine that u are cracking up at the stuff u say.

Humilation of fans to you improves a player more than a player doing high intensity stamina drills? Na wa for you.

Do you know about training conditions at all? Coaches working on the players crosses, shooting techniques, correcting the player when he nods the ball to the right direction. Going over repeated passing drills. Doing ball control sessions to improve first touch.

You can imagine. Referee red card and fan humilation. Hard tackles.

Do you understand teams do skill dribble sessions with a skills trainer?

I said how can someone be talking 50,000 fans against a player taking over a hundred freekicks everyday. I said this because CR7 did this while at Manchester United. So keep talking playing time and throwing digs neglecting the impact of the behind-the-scenes hard work that is the De la creme determinant of success.

Kun Aguero was lazy for years and still one of the best in England. I remember when i told u he had a poor attitude in training and u even went as far as twisting the english language in defending him. Come this season Pep has openly called out his work ethic and all of a sudden u are being high and mighty talking down on another club. U are very biased when it comes to man city. Thats plain to see.

Aguero was working hard but was lazy based in Guardiola's intense drilling methods. Guardiola and Klopp came under criticism for pushing their players too hard. When Guardiola arrived he made it clear that it was not an easy process but the players have to try.

Aguero was not ready to push himself to that limit. With time, he caught up with it. Do not mistake hard work, high intensity hard work and plain laziness.

That is a fact. Don't you know or you have not read the things I wrote here? Work hard, improve yourself and then get a run of games to show how a player has improved.

Its so funny that u are asking me to answer a question when ur question was supposed to be an answer to my question. The question is just crazy because Iheanacho can take as many practice freekicks while also playing real matches, there is no FIFA or FA rule preventing that from happening. That is why i think u are joking. Every pro player trains so what is all this about? Are u telling me that chelsea put Victor Moses back in a box after every match? Does he not train?

My people. how una dey? Una don chop? I've tried to track back and be updated with posts and discussions on here. Please forgive me if I still missed something.

Now on the Iheanacho/TheGoodJoe issue. There are two possibilities here. And here is my observation:

1. TheGoodJoe has probably succeeded in convincing some of us here that Iheanacho wants to stay and get drills from Pep, which is why their comments may come off as they are dissing Iheanacho.

2. Some or most of us here are actually being sarcastic and dissing TheGoodJoe

On the whole, I actually think most of us want Iheanacho to leave because we know his worth and he deserves regular playing time.

TheSuperNerd made a point that I've been towing. TheGoodJoe, you are supporting a guy in Pep who actually don't have Iheanacho in his plans, so your arguments do not hold water. But I do hope Iheanacho learns a thing or two to add to his game before he leaves. What doesn't kill you make you stronger they say.

I honestly want Iheanacho playing. I wish Iheanacho is playing and I have said, I will support the young man if he feels he has learnt enough and wants to leave.

However, if Nacho feels he is becoming a better player and he wants to stay, he has my full support. I admire the discipline of Pep's system.

As I said before, a season or two. If Nacho is not in Pep's plans, I said leave. So I wonder where I did not put the probability of Pep not wanting Nacho in context. I did.

Thanks for your smooth reply.

You can see the massive gully in your statement. I doubt Iheanacho has taken up to five freekicks for City and you expect him to take as many freekicks with regular game time. Habaaaaaaaa.

While in training, he can reserve time and keep practising with over a hundred freekicks everyday.

He was not as lazy as a bum. He was just not as hard working as the other players. However, before the preseason, Aguero worked hard as hell to get back in shape. That work is the difference. Not leaving it to game time.
