BascoVanVeli: Don't you think the coaching team can also work close with him even if he is with the feeder team? As reported by Dannycrusoe there is a new competition for feeder teams. Don't you think taking part in that competition, where he would likely see more game action, be more beneficial to him than taking part in just drills and no action for a boy who is not even 15yrs old yet? For his age I feel he needs to learn and grow with his mates. |

Osimhen Marks Bundesliga Debut With Yellow Card As Wolfsburg Draw By James Agberebi: Young Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen made his long awaited Bundesliga debut for Wolfsburg in their 1-1 home draw against Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. Osimhen, who started on the bench, was introduced for Daniel Didavi in the 59th minute. However, he was shown a yellow card in the 89th minute. Osimhen, the top scorer at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2015, has been listed in Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr's 25-man squad for camping and a friendly against Corsica in France in May. Jannik Vestergaard gave Monchengladbach the lead in the 24th minute. But Mario Gomez equalised for Wolfsburg in the 58th minute. The game was halted close to 25 minutes due to a heavy downpour. The draw leaves Wolfsburg in15th position on 37 points in the league table and just two points away from the relegation zone. I wuldnt b surprise if dis Onyekuru guy is invited at d end of d day and doesn't add any meaningfull impact to d team,dt was aw Bathelomew ogbeche swindled us with his scissors kick prior to 2000(Korea/Japan),thru out d three matches we played at d world cup despite d hype from tv/radio stations abt d guy,he didn't av a shot on target b4 we go ousted from d tourney.i wuld even want Rohr to invite d guy sef and give him a full 90mins,let c what he can offer, and let dis noise about his invitation to d team die down.If not for d drop of quality in our football,aw can we b so sure and cofident dis Onyekuru guy playin at eupen will deliver against exp players plying their trade in top europe league.Even d ogbeche I sighted above as a flop, played in PSG(france),yet he culdnt offer anytin.I don't c dis onyekuru as our soln to goalscoring as far as I am concerned...Take a look at d Brazilian team,dt won d 2002 world cup, dere was a certain,ELBER DE SOUZA who played for bayern Munich as a top NO 9position,He fired in 25goals as a top scorer of d German league, yet Scolari picked an Injured Ronaldo delima ahead of him to d world cup,and he didn't only assist d team,Ronaldo also won d highest goal scorer at world cup(wyle Nursing an Injury),Dt's where d Importance of Not altering the CHEMISTRY of d team,wc I knw ROHR is working towards dt but if it were to b our case, most of us here would prefer an Elber to start ahead of Ronaldo if dey were to b NIGERIAN players, |

elyte89: Ogbeche never scored over 20 goals in a season. Right now, calls for his invitation are justified. It is for Onyekuru to prove himself when he is finally invited. We can't compare ourselves with brazil of that Era.. Mario Jardel at his prime could not hold down a shirt for Brazil at that time. Strangely enough, in the last world cup, they'd have done anything to have a striker of Jardel's quality. Even Elber could not play regularly. Nigeria does not have that much talent that are obviously better than Onyekuru. Simon Moses, Ahmed Musa, Iwobi etc play the same position as Onyekuru. He can certainly compete with these players. 5 Likes |

elyte89: your comment is quite lengthy are u saying the dude should not be invited all because of not altering team chemistry? for goodness sake....rohr just signed in as SE manager... he is still building a team.. so Henry...should be tried and see if he can fit in. you don't shun a good player at this time all because u don't wanna alter team chemistry..... chemistry that is not there yet. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Promising Nigerian Defender Named In Manchester United Squad To Face Tottenham Hotspur Promising Nigerian right back Matthew Olosunde, hailed as the next Dani Alves, has been handed another opportunity to make his first-team bow for Manchester United by manager Jose Mourinho. The versatile youngster has been included in a provisional 21-man squad for the trip to N17 0AP, where the Red Devils will square off against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday. Last week, the same scenario happened as Olosunde was in London with the first team for the tie against Arsenal, but eventually failed to make the match day squad. Mourinho rates the United States youth international highly as he invited him to train with the first team before their Europa League meeting against Celta Vigo on Thursday. The 19-year-old Olosunde played for Manchester United reserves in their 2-2 draw with Arsenal in a Premier League 2 encounter on Monday. Whether or not he makes his debut against Spurs, everything is pointing to the fact that the teenager will train with the first team during the pre-season. elyte89:u are hash,u would invite him(onyekuru) and hoping for him to flop? So that u r justified of ur ogbeche's misadventure assertion in SE . How do u then invite players to the senior national team,it's it not based on current form and performance in your club again? and that your Ronaldo Elder scenario is far different from what we r seing in SE,do we have someone of Ronaldo's pedigree and still clamoring for Oneykuru to come and bench him. Do u think that Dybala will suddenly start benching Messi without proper integration to the team, no because of Messi's pedigree in world football. By the way how do u know that Oneykuru is not going to deliver, he is just 19 or so,while Elder was like 27 yrs then. So ur point is we shouldn't bother inviting him because he plays for eupen. Though he will not remain there for long anyways. 2 Likes |
