Mynd44: They could reduce it to an hour or 2. Nothing stops 'em churches from being flexible with their timings. At the end of the day, praise worshiping and soul saving isn't restricted to certain hours of any given day |

Let us see if those neighbors that usually agree to come out on environmental Saturdays to clean their compounds will understand that this is not an excuse to let your environ be dirty. |
Re: Ambode Abolishes Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise by ajebuter(f): 2:56pm On Mar 31, 2016 |
It has become a way of life in Lagos already, So whether you restrict movement on last Saturdays, it makes no difference because I will still wake up late.. We are already use to it.. |

YomeeTeen: Why should our advancement as a nation be tied to religion. we have to do whatever it takes right? Their decision was solely based on business inactivity due to the restrictions so why can't they simply think outside of the box. As it stands, they will have to provide some sort of relieve either through increase cleaning activities by Lagos state waste management. This will almost certainly eat into their budget in an already stretched economy. It's all about sacrifice for much needed growth. |

jaybee3:It won't go down well, trust me. Besides, there is a compulsory weekly sanitation for traders and businessmen/women scheduled on Thursdays. How about making Thursday a sanitation day? |

Good! Very good! The government should/has employed people to do that. You cannot shut down economic and social activities for hours just to clean. They can all run concurrently. 2 Likes 1 Share |

He must come up with an alternative idea to maintain that culture of 'lets keep our environment clean'. If there is no audacious plan then the governor has only succeeded in taking Lagos twenty five years backward! I recollect that the same attitude has resulted in Lagosians no longer reespecting traffic lights and Okadas no longer taking safety precautions. Before he was elected people dared the traffic light but not any longer. YOU DONT SCRAP A GOOD IDEA UNLESS YOU HAVE A BETTER ONE TO REPLACE IT! Simple Common Sense. SCS! |
