I laugh in pidgin english wella... Adams is leaving office by November or so and he didn't stand elections so will the next administration agree to this? Why didn't he implement this all this while.. He is trying to scam people to buy into Apc scam again.... Its alright. |

2undexy: abeg park well. Why is he doing it when the state's finance is in dire strait and when he is about leaving office. He is setting up his successor. If he is to be sincere with himself as a former NLC head, he shouldn't be doing it at the end of his 8yrs rule 1 Like |

Firefire:Don't say what you don't know because you want to be heard. Oshiomole is not owing ANY worker in Edo state. He pays before month end while still continue building state infrastructure. This is not bayelsa. No public officer is a saint and I'm not speaking for any of them. But most (if not all) of Nigeria's problems will be solved when the citizens learn to give credits to whom it's due, and to condemn those that deserve condemnation. 4 Likes |

mark3009:Which countries do you think built those technologies in China? All it takes is for the western and Japanese companies to move their Tech to Africa. It would be much cheaper logistically (Closer proximity to North America and Europe), in manufacturing and labour cost. Anyways, there are many articles on this market shift happening in the near future. 1 Like |

Is it the same oshiomole that doesnt pay youth corpers 1kobo, please dont be deceived he can increase the minimum wage to100k but please ask him how many workers he has on the pay roll....Most of the schools in EDO are run by corpers in conjunction with one full time teacher and school head..yet he they pay peanuts or nothing for corpers.....why will they pay when the governor doesnt pay.....Have a friend that takes about 4 subjects as a corper in a government school in this same state......Fact EDO has small workers cos the state is ran by corpers so he can afford to pay 50k seph................ |

Oshio Baba, controlling the charged political atmosphere of Edo state with his magic wands ..right step taking in the right direction, those asking funny questions here are simply exhibiting high sense of ingratitude. Even in this season of low revenue one would have been right to say it is a wrong time to agitate for wage increase. Aregbe reduced the wages of his state staff..nobody asked stupid question or made funny comment. God bless you Mr Governor for setting the pace for others to follow. |

It is not good news to the workforce of Edo State alone, but to the entire labour of Nigeria, knowing fully well that some where, some how their welfare could still be attended to. Good one from Comrade Governor. Hope some of the Governors will follow suit. But, I doubt it. |

Adams oshimole has no option, but to ensure that workers also enjoy the dividends of democracy, After all 25 thousand is not enough to even cater for a hon member takless of a chairman,so why the noise. Twenty five thousand naira is not even sufficent for a University student, talkess of a worker who has a family to feed, one of the major functions of Govt is to provide, so why d noise |

Dollyak:U really don't know how the manufacturing sector operates. Let me try and enlighten you a bit. 1.) if i have a company and my team of engineers have developed a product, 2.) i build a prototype of the product to test how it functions. 3.)i outsource the mass production to a manufacturing plant that specializes in that sector(if i don't own a factory). 4.)the factory mass produces the product to specifications and send to me 5.)i market my product. Note the factory must already have the technology to translate my design to an actual product Foxconn one of the largest chinese manufacturers produces mobile phones for apple, samsung and other major mobile phone companies. It is a full fledged chinese company established by chinese business men. Also there are many asian countries with cheaper labor and good power supply why have they not taken over manufacturing from china? |

It is just easily said than done, it should aswell be immediately approved and gazetted, otherwise, it will be a ploy to win back the state workforce to his side. Moreover the ministries are empty without staff and an aged workforce calling for replacement or the state civil service will be near collapse as those that ought to train will soon be retired |
