Mr Henry sometimes I wonder how you go about with your comparison... the Nokia 7+ should be in the category of mi note 3, Elephone U pro and Samsung C8. most times I cry when I see you making a camera comparison of a Tecno phone and iPhone X, they are not class. when going for comparison go for phones of same class, price and specs so you can give constructive criticism... it seems you are just not happy that Xiaomi phones are making waves in terms of value for money.

It's not a crime to humanity compare a $1000 to a $100 phone. Go on youtube and see how many people are interested in seeing comparisons like that. It's all for experimentation and good content.

About your last comment, i'd just assume you're on Ceec's level and leave it at that.

i have the redmi 5 plus with the rom 9.2.6.0.0

the model on the back side isnt global based on my research

i believe the phone has unlocked boot-loader although i have requested for and dl the mi flash tool

i want to find out:
1. would my miaccount be bound to the device after i flash the update esp since the bootloader was already unlocked
2. can i just flash the update without going through the process of re-unlockin bootloader for my own mi account
3. would i get OTA updates subsequently
4. the region for whatever reason keeps changing back to the USA, might this be responsible for not getting an OTA (someone on the thread tole me he was able to update his device via OTA when he got it)

i really want to get out of the current menace so i can update via OTA in future as i did with my RN4X

Redmi note5pro is too expensive for its features. Imagine a phone without quick charge 3, quad camera, OIS, AMOLED screen, Bluetooth 7.0, 6500mah battery etc selling for 95k? This is pure cheating! I'm porting to Samsung asap

Guys my default video editor is not working! Angry that I spent my time editing a video and I'm unable to save it. It's saying error encoding video or sth like that.

Is this a bug? Who else has this issue?

Ceece? You are the typical ceece on this thread which everyone can attest to... Compare Xiaomi Note 5 Pro to Zenfone 5, Meizu E3, Vivo V9 and Oppo F7. compare them with the listed phones if they out perform the note 5pro then I will gladly say you have done well and a justified comparison.

you have a vendor rom. check the unlock status of your phone first. if not unlocked, just use your previous unlock permission to unlock your bootloader. but you'll need to bind this phone to the account before you can flash.
