You downloaded a fake file, being in your place before.
I'm sure it says "super compressed" or something similar.
Just delete it, the only way is through a survey which can't be completed in Nigeria .

Baba you are right

Use WiFi or check if you've restricted the updater from data usage.

I have decided to buy nokia 2.3 and I will wait for redmi 9 to come out then I would go for it. Thanks

You welcome. If I were you, I won't have sold my Redmi 8a only to end up buying Nokia 2.3.

They are not mates at all. You really downgraded with the hope of upgrading.

RN8 running Pubg in HDR graphics flawlessly at 60 fps without lag.
Maybe pubg has been optimised for the phone. Is this the latest update?
And please do you play these games too cos It seems not to run well on the Note 8
1)Asphalt 8 high graphics= crash and wouldn't even run
2)asphalt 9= frame drops on default graphics and serious lags on high graphics
3) pes 2020 = lags on high graphics (day time stadium)

Or maybe PUBG has always been optimised for the phone but because of software issues, it seems it ain't.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is not coming to Nigeria for now. If it is launched Globally it will carry another name other than this probably a name to complement Redmi Note 9s eg Redmi Note 9s plus etc.

When the phone came out it was said a lot of games haven't been optimised for the Snapdragon 665 Chipset, it probably just started happening.

We have to wait quite some months for games to be optimised for the chipset

Most people don't know this. Just one update and everything is fixed
