Its time to as a matter of urgency declare State of emergency in the oil and gas industry and engage very serious dialogue with the stakeholders in the ND region

How I wished Buhari would have the sense to initiate that.

You sound really pained with this your speech. grin
holaralph:
...Every time a Crude Flow Station is Destroyed by Militants in the Niger Delta, The Environment is Damaged; D Land is Polluted and affected Communities are subjected to more hardships...Let the Bombing Continue, who will lose?...The Government of PMB is dragging the Nigerian Economy away from Crude Oil; Lagos State has Joined the League of Oil Producing States and the Northern Part of Nigeria whose Reserves have been cynically suppressed over the years will begin production within the next months to two years. With time, People from the Niger Delta would have destroyed their Lands so much that future generation will curse (them) their Fathers and Mothers for killing their dreams. Let the Stupidity Continue People from Niger Delta...Don't stop the blowing up of pipelines.
Everyone of You thinks that a Blown Pipeline is an attack on PMB and His Government of Change...Insanity on display I must say. Kano and Lagos are Leading the way in Tomatoes Paste Production and Tomatoes don dey scarce Abi, shebi ? The Northern Landmass alone is about 4 times the entire Landmass of the SS and the SE; Agriculture will revolutionize the North within the next decade...People from the Niger Delta will use their Oil " oyel " to soak Garri and they think they are punishing Nigeria? Think Again, but continue.
I have been reliably informed, that the More Pipeline they blow-up, the more the Resolve of this President to get the Nigerian Economy off oil...The More the Presidency blocks loopholes; The More the desire for alternative Revenue; The More the Nigerian People get pissed off by the Niger Delta Stupidity. The Future is Lost to Greed, Selfish Demons of Today. Blow Pipelines if you can, Nigeria is moving on. We have a President who is capable of making the hard decisions and willing to firmly sustain those hard choices. Blow Pipelines abeg. Let Nigeria Suffer and Let Niger Delta land be wasted. Continue killing your own future and polluting your lands by your own hands.
NOBODY SHOULD WEEP FOR THE NIGER DELTA!!! BECAUSE THEY ARE THE
ENEMIES THAT ARE WITHIN THE NIGER DELTA OR LIVING OUTSIDE THE NIGER DELTA!!! IF YOU CAN'T BLOW EVERYTHING ALL THE SO CALL NIGER DELTA MILITANT AND NIGER DELTA AVENGERS ARE ILLEGITIMATE. Even blow everything to the extent that You will blow yourself Layabouts and Lazybones .........

when one reads the comments here, it is very easy to see that Nigeria isn't meant to be one. From any angles you
looks at Nigeria the division and difference is clear. It would have been better to merge America and Afghanistan than to merge
numerous nationalities in Nigeria as a nation. Imagine comments here: if they destroy their land is there land but the oil is our land?.
Height of hypocrites ...

See painment.

You want to fund Kano - Lagos railway but the one to benefit Niger Delta disappeared from the budget.

You created a North East development commission but intend to underfund NDDC.

You're buying hybrid grass for cattle, creating Grazing ways and ranches but what to under fund the amnesty programs.

Every day you keep harassing their leaders with DSS and EFCC as though it is only in the South Jonathan campaigned.

You divisible called them 5% without no apology thinking it was in the 60s you killed and maim them because of oyel control.

Your fellow herdsmen kill and maim their people and instead of taking action you stupidly tell them it's forces from Libya. So you've intels but refuse to act?

With all of this, the Niger Delta man do not need any pity party from you or your lot.

For once let the IGR from Kano and Lagos plus agricultural inputs fund Nigeria budget.

May your days be long.

I think they have been heard and the govt is ready to negotiate but there should be 'change'. Amnesty I think is not a bright idea,it only fosters laziness and benefit criminals.instead a fund of 100billion should sourced to empower 10,000 youths from the ND at 1million each and also scholarship given to another 5000 .I'm sure this adminstration of President buhari will see to infrastural development so I won't bother to add that.this way I believe there would be positive change in the region.

For me I think it is easy to deal with the militant, very simple. Firstly, stop the allocation of 13% derivatn to any state bombing takes place. 2, stop the stipend being paid to the the ex militant. 3, help them to destroy there community further by leveling some towns. 4, arrest all there youth leaders cause they surely know them. And finally adopt the lord lugard strategy. If the govt could try all these they will come back with testimony.

When 70% of Nigeria's income and 90% of foreign exchange earnings come from the Niger Delta.

You are funny.
