Hello nairalanders! I am seeking for your candid advise. It has been long I visited Nigeria, though I went for school overseas, now I am planing of settling down. To cut th story short! A pen friend of mine (girl) introduced me to her friend, we have been chatting for a while now, so now I am going to Nigeria after 2months of chatting to spend time with her for two weeks. Is it advisable to know her well for two weeks before proposing or I should know her more? thus, I will not stay more than two weeks due to the nature of my job in Europe. Ladies and humble gentlemen please I need your candid advise on the issue at hand.

Two weeks is not enough to know a complete stranger. Any lady could pretend for weeks/months especially when she's aware of what she stands to gain.

Get to know her more. Introduce her to few friends when you get to Nigeria. No need rushing. Take your time bruv.

You barely know her. You just met her friend two months ago. That's just so short a time to propose. You need more Time Brov. The fact you aren't based in Naija is more reason why you should not rush it. Take it slow

the reality is that you cant... there is NO WAY you can get to know this person properly, in such a short period of time. the problem is that you are desperate, thus not focussing on what is important here. it is best for you to take however time it take to properly know "any" woman, than end up with some psycho who will be glad to kill you as soon as she get what she needs from you. marriage is not a joke, dont make that grave mistake.

Aduro means asylum seeker in Yoruba word. Aduro girls here are way despirate than nigeria girls residing in Nigeria. Really don't want to involve myself with them.

thats exactly the point... look around you to understand that 95% of single women in Africa are seeking for someone like you. someone ready to marry and take them away from their misery. knowing that, you must be careful as the majority will desperately become whatever woman you desire.
if you are hellbent on this lady, then why dont you set traps and see if she falls into them. example: bring a friend along and pretend that he is some millionaire's kid also looking for a wifey OR pretend you like your women a certain way (opposite of what you really desire), and see if the take the bait OR claim you are moving back to Africa because you are tired of being illegal in Europe. in desperate times, you need desperate means to figure out who is after you for the right/wrong reasons.
