Mass Disconnection Of Electricity Supply To The Residents Of Memudu Bada Street, by stelljagun: 1:05am On Jun 04, 2016
Good Day,

I am officially lodging a complaint against the electricity distribution company covering Alimosho local government. The residents of Memudu Bada St, Idimu, Lagos have had their electricity supply disconnected by what we would call unprofessional members of staff of PHCN.

We were told that a fracas ensued between some youths around the area and officials from PHCN and as a result we were all disconnected as punishment for the act. Most of the residents who pay their bills faithfully have been made to suffer because some of your staff do not have a better way to address issues.

This has created untold hardship as we have had to result to buying fuel to power our generators causing a reduction in our standard of living. This is wrong and very inappropriate. Honest citizens should not be made to suffer because these officials don't have an alternative way to effectively perform their duties.

Although the power supply is not regular we should at least enjoy it when it comes. Other residents of streets (Princess Abiola) adjacent to ours enjoy light when it is available. there has been a lot of price increase in food and we should be able to conserve the little we can afford.

We are appealing to the NERC to intervene as this is sheer wickedness. I strongly recommend that the officers who acted on their poor sense of judgment by violated the standard procedures for mass disconnection be appropriately sanctioned.

Thank you.
