Residents of Memudu Bada Street, Idimu, Lagos groan under severe darkness due to the unprofessional attitude of some staff members of PHCN, Alimosho LG. It was mentioned that a fracas ensued between some youths around the area and several staff of PHCN who came to disconnect the electricity of some houses. The youths were angry that there had been low supply of electricity to the area so there was no basis for disconnecting any resident. However, things took an ugly turn as the officials completely disconnected all residents of Memudu Bada Street. including those who had been faithful in paying their bills.

There has been complete darkness for over one week though neighbouring streets like Princess Abiola St still have light. It is sad that some officials of PHCN Alimosho LG have become LORDS over Nigerian citizens despite NERC publication stating that MASS disconnection is illegal.

We hope the right people will read this and intervene. A complin has also been lodge to NERC and we hope they respond in time.
