Aktopgun, thank you plenty!
This one wey you are not very enthused RE: Dangote Sugar, I hope lesser beings like us are not sitting ducks.
Same applies to Flourmill of Nigeria, what is killing the price? Abi someone knows what the rest of  us don't know?

i kinda prefer to see smooth price rises and not jack ups u know. i looked at the chart for DSR from last week and na doji star followed by correct hanging man. i told myself, this one, na die!!!

U know that no matter how good companies try even here, the feelers on their expected earnings reports always filter out and i suspect that is what happened in DSR's case as well. cuz we had even been hearing the bonus rumor for a while now too. so when it did the star i suspected an artificial rat and the hanging man didnt help either cuz it suggested swooping by profiteers.
it is still quite solid and i expect a quick recovery but not jack ups in price, a more smoother transition probably as wanajo rightly said, later this month.

i am beginning to think all this TA is not complete bull after all, especially on the NSE. Expaeriments are ongoing sha grin grin

Never mind, FSDH just delivered  grin

RT Briscoe results were a bit disappointing; PAT was 610M when the projection was 635M. PAT growth was 15% vs 166% for 2006 over 2005. Looks like RT is about to become a value stock. Good thing (for me) they declared a bonus. Hopefully, I can bail out with my 20-25% on Thursday (the real closure date since the market is closed on the 21st and 24th)

pumping777:

The price of RT Briscoe has not really moved in the last 3 months. It has hovered between N29 and N33 so I think the current price is still a valid entry point and we are still seeing occasional depression.

I no fit talk pass that one na as I no be the company secretary grin grin

Costain still has to list PO shares, and given the price, allotment is prob going to be shaky because I dont see them letting those who paid N13 during PO, take advantage of this hug price increase. Its all really risky, I'd wait till at least end of april to get into Costain, I just sold all mine on Friday after a 280% gain, goodluck to anyone else still on board.

ABC did a RED MARUBOZU today which is a definite confirmation of the BULLISH REVERSAL that started last friday so i'm afraid its still going to shed a few more pounds and KG's in the days ahead. The volumes is thinning out so that's a bit hmnnnnnnnnnn

Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by RoughCut(m): 4:50pm On Mar 17, 2008
Dunlop did a spinning top and considering that this is within the context of a downturn i expect that the price will start creeping up again it did a
reasonable volume and the bulls are definitely back to kick buttsthey are ready to whip the bears into submission

.
Yea yea,I know they have huge infrastructure contracts with mostly private/corporate clients as against governmental contracts that that nearly killed them in years past.I'm also aware that they have some huge contracts from some state governments especially Rivers state, but I'm afraid the above reasons don't totally tell me why the share price of costain has maintained a rocket speed movement to the moon

NOT QUITE A SPINNING TOP CUZ TO BE A SPINNIG TOP U SHOULD LOOK AT THE LENGHT OF THE BODY IN RELATION TO THE LENGHT OF THE CANDLE TAILS. IN TODAYS CANDLE PATTERN, THE UPWARD TAIL IS MUCH TOO SHORT.

HAVING SAID THAT, THE CANDLE PATTERN IS STILL GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME TO BE HAPPY FOR DUNLOP CICOs

Right actually i think they call this formation mysterious/long shadows abi? The long lower shadow means the buyers were able to whip the sellers into submission and drove the closing above the opening price

Like you i'm happy with what's going on grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

I'm waiting to be invited to join the Board of Dunlop Plc (based on my shareholding there ), I could turn-around its fortunes if given the chance. My 'Ajebo' Brokers turned into an 'Agbero' and were able to purchase all my requested Dunlop units for me on Friday and today. Well done Afrinvest West Africa !!

If the volumes are thinning out it means the reversal may be fleeting. You need more volumes to sustain the bullish reversal which means i would be able get some more at the nearest bus-stop. I wont be surprised if the reversal does not last more than a couple of days

That is the whole question, who However it has held on so far! It may still hold some more - it just depends on the motive. All caveats!!! If I had Costain, I would have since sold!
