melenie oudin's will to win is so amazing. even if she doesn't win the tournament, she's really played like a winner. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by Nobody: 11:09pm On Sep 05, 2009 |
chi-jewel: sounds like the heir apparent to the Williams sisters. But her lack of height is worrying. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by Nobody: 1:18am On Sep 06, 2009 |
chic2pimp: Yeah, he's relying heavily on his first serves to survive against a fellow big server - John Isner. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by iice(f): 2:04am On Sep 06, 2009 |
Only got to watch Oudin remove Sharapova And part of the Haas game B4 i passed out |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by Borat1: 4:22am On Sep 06, 2009 |
Federer's win against hewitt was utterly unconvincing. Rafa has a dodgy knee my ass. Thats the same dodgy knee venus has got too that allows her play even in the doubles abi? smokescreen! Rafa go carry him dodgy knee dodge him way carry trophy |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by eldee(m): 9:59am On Sep 06, 2009 |
~Borat~:It's not the same thing . . . It's almost impossible to win againt big servers like Roddick if your legs aren't 100% in form The mens' game is different power and pace play a more important role here. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by FOD(m): 10:23pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
Seems Venus may be the next big name to be ousted from this tournament. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by C2H5OH(f): 10:29pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
I think the knee is bugging her big time. Her first set was atrocious. She missed far too many of her first serves. Unforced errors throughout the match. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by Nobody: 10:35pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
Shld Venus lose this match then womens Tennis is in big trouble. How does a part time tennis player beat you in a grand slam? |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by C2H5OH(f): 10:37pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
I've been questioning her mobility since the LA Open when she lost to that unseeded no-name player. Now here she is on the grand stage - The U.S. Open Venus has been ousted by Kim Clijsters - SHAME! |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by Nobody: 10:38pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
Big shame. clijsters has played less than 10 matches since 2007. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by ThiefOfHearts(f): 10:38pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
That was sad. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by chic2pimp(m): 10:43pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
davidylan:Venus is herself a part time player. Besides upsets happen everyday of the week. C2H5OH:Shame? Where is the shame in loosing to a former grandslam winner and world No1. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by tubabie(f): 10:45pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
What a shame! |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by Nobody: 10:47pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
Safina is still world number one? I laugh in greek. Women's tennis is a freak show. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by C2H5OH(f): 10:51pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
chic2pimp players, regardless of previous ranking, are not supposed to come out of retirement like that outta tip-top game shape and rhythm to take out the sport's perennial powerhouse. I'm going to blame Venus' knee for this collapse. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by chic2pimp(m): 10:54pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
tubabie:Sharap dia . davidylan:I laff with u jare. World no1 ma foot. The WTA need theie heads tested. SERENA is the real No1. She holds three of the 4 grandslams and I wouldn't bet against her retaining her U.S open title. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by C2H5OH(f): 10:56pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
Lol @ Roddick. Meets a serve-smoker just like himself. I thought he was on his way back up after his classic showdown with Federer in Wimbledon |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by chic2pimp(m): 10:57pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
C2H5OH:You do have a point however shit happens. Venus's dodgy knee could be the reason why she collapsed. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by chic2pimp(m): 10:58pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
C2H5OH:Showdown ma foot. The game was no classic. It was a basically a serving contest. Roddick has always been and will continue to be one dimensional. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by C2H5OH(f): 10:59pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
chic2pimp: I agree. Btw, did you see sister Venus slap a serve off Serena's back in their doubles play? Must have hurt like a b*** Those >100mph serves are no joke. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by Nobody: 11:07pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
C2H5OH: lol both Roddick and Isner are so one-dimensional its unbelievable. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by chic2pimp(m): 11:13pm On Sep 06, 2009 |
C2H5OH:SERENA and VENUS serve like men. Those serves of theirs are. . . . . . . . . . . . . |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by Borat1: 8:21am On Sep 07, 2009 |
Na wa o! Someone loses out due to a bad knee thats obviously impairing her and you call it shameful? |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by Nobody: 12:44pm On Sep 07, 2009 |
~Borat~: They Are only been ridiculous Clisters was formerly No1 And once a no1, always a threat Anyways, I have this fear that Fed may not survive this one We just have to wait and see what happens. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by igbalajobi: 1:42pm On Sep 07, 2009 |

Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by eldee(m): 8:33pm On Sep 07, 2009 |
Oudin just won again . . . Let her just keep beating out the big shots till she meets Kim Clijsters |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by C2H5OH(f): 8:41pm On Sep 07, 2009 |
Let's go FEDerer |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by tubabie(f): 8:44pm On Sep 07, 2009 |
C2H5OH: Hmm Federer may find it easy cos he's had 8 victories out of 8 meetings over Robredo. |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by eldee(m): 9:05pm On Sep 07, 2009 |
tubabie: Nobody beats my Robredo 9 times in a row |
Re: Tennis: US Open 2009 by tubabie(f): 9:20pm On Sep 07, 2009 |
eldee: Indeed lets wait and see, am rooting for Nadal anyway |
