There was a mermaid princess that was so beautiful beyond understanding.
The mermaid was the daughter of the river goddess who rule the kingdom. When her daughter reached the age of marriage she sent out her palace messengers to announce to her subjects that whoever would like to marry her daughter will compete for her love.
All the young men that was of marriage age enter the contest in order to marry the princess,because of her beauty and wealth. And the competition was that whoever can make the princess cry by doing an awful thing will marry her because she has never experience misfortune of any kind due to her protective mother.
All the young men that compete did everything possible to make her cry but failed by mock stabbing,fake poison and other things just to fake death except one young man. When the competition was coming to an end after the alloted time. The young man brought out a specially made spear and plunge it at the queen goddess hitting her at the abdomen.
Everyone was shocked and when the princess saw what happened she ordered,"Seize him and immediately the palace guards arrested him.
Kneeling down the princess looked at her mother and hot tears rolled down her eyes,for the first time she experience loss and in the hard way. When the young man saw that the princess cried,he shouted for all to hear,,'that the queen is not dead but under the influence of the sedatives that the spear was lacem with.

After some moments the queen sneezed and open her eyes. And with that the competition came to an end.
The young man married the princess and they live happily ever after.

Lesson: Life is like this competition,all fingers are not equal. Where others failed some will pass.
