Future - French Safran has agreed to help India revive the jet engine project via a $ 2-million consultancy agreement which has been finalized with leading French defense expert Safran, which will help India in reviving the Kaveri project that was stalled in 2014. Under the terms of the partnership finalized last year, Snecma is working to modify, certify and Integrate the Kaveri on a Light Combat Aircraft airframe before 2020.
