The US has an operation system working on acoustics- mics are arranged in a circle on a vehicle and track incoming fire by the bullet trajectory. It can't be spoofed or jammed and is very easy to use giving real time data. How does this work?

No info on this one , looks like a pre production prototype to me

From pic looks like there r 2 detectors in the system

One is sonic (acoustic) based and another optics based

Initial cues from acoustic sensors and final localisation via optics slaved to acoustic sensors

ASW corvette

Lost the Philippines competition to south Korea due to manipulation .

Later it turned out that it was cheaper, technically better and more powerful than the Korean product.

I think a Philippines admiral was removed over the decision.

In South Africa, the cities of Cape Town and Port Elizabeth use the same technology to fight against gangs in areas that have major gang problems.

Because people in these districts dont speak to the police (or call them) the technology is used to alter the police to a shooting. Its fascinating technology, apparently when the gangs found out about the use of the tech they started trying to confuse the system by setting off fireworks - and apparently the technology is smart enought to differentiate between the explosion from a firework and a gunshot

Saudi Incompetance continutes:

Quick run-down:

- Be Saudi mechanised infantry
- Be riding up-armored M113's
- Take lights arms fire from the Houthi
- Abandon M113's
- Run away
- Houthi casually walk up and set them on fire

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=weC7RA1NAEM

Thats 6 less M113's of the 300 upgraded by Turkey for $200 million.

Its time for Patches armored recommendation of the month:

The AMX-40, a tank for Africa.

- designed by the french with desert conditions in mind: dry, dusty and long distances with a wopping 300km combat radius - that is, it can drive 300km from base, fight, and then return to base on one tank of gas
- designed around hunter-killer warfare, independant targeting sight for the commander with automatic gun-laying on target aquisistion
- stabilized 120mm, fully digitized FCS, engagement ranges up to 3km.
- ammo stored outside the crew compartment + blow-out panels (very safe)
- chobham armor (very, very safe - better than legacy Leo 2's)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEcXzDSaJow

Sad that it never entered service, it could have been the master of the African battlespace.

The shot spotter seems very similar to the 20000 $ Boomerang seen here. Its in operational use allowing immediate effective counter fire.

They've come a looonggg way since the first early 90s protoypes. IIRC I heard a wearable version is in the works!

Well, freedom and human rights have a cost.

My gut response would be to wipe them out. But, if the state behaves in such a manner then the state is no better than a common ganster.

Ironicall THAAD is exactly what the Saudi's dont need. What they need is something like AEGIS - perhapse a land based version.
