new unidentified DRDO launcher system for an unidentified missile .

It has a 4 celled single cannister , which can be reloaded using the same launcher , no need of a additional missile replenishment vehicle.

The interesting thing about this launcher system is - it can traverse from 90 degree to 0 degree so that individual missile cannisters can be pushed into the 4 cells of the launch container from ground horizontally. This eliminates the use of a hydraulic crane and makes reloading much easier.

Schematics published by ADA during Aero Ind... 2019, showing various aspects of the Medium Weight Fighter’s Capabilities and features.

ADA and HAL are working on bringing next generation processes and technologies in the manufacturing of the MWF. Currently, the entire LCA Mk1 airframe structure is first assembled and then all LRUs, electric looms, piping and so on are fitted in an equipping stage. This is a serial process which takes up a significant amount of time.

Instead, for MWF, ADA is working on a modular concept in which electric looms, piping, and connectors are terminated at sub-assembly interfaces with appropriate interconnectors.

The assembly will take place using a ‘jig-less’ assembly process . In this approach, the jigs are modular by design and have more versatility to adapt to any changes in the build standard of the aircraft.

Such jigs can also be repurposed for a completely different assembly process in the future when required. Since the jig-less assembly approach does away with the conventional locating function, more automated operations such as robotic holes drilling are expected to be introduced in the assembly process.

The render mistake (false material assignment) on the front canopy is really confusing. That was definitely not intentional. The Computer Graphics Engineer has probably never seen an aircraft before. smiley

A local start up company Staqu has developed AI-powered glasses that law enforcement officials can use to identify criminals.

The glasses are fitted with cameras that can take photos of people around and run it past the criminal database. If it finds a match, it displays the information (name, criminal history etc.) through a projector fitted inside.

Staqu has done a pilot project for this with the Punjab Police and with the Dubai Police.
