The developed world seems to be light years ahead of us in Most african countries. See a whole prime minister happily handing over the prestigious position to someone else. It makes me to remember Mandela. We definitely need more Mandela in Africa.

Can a Nigerian leader resign?
After the crisis Abba Moro faced as a minister last year, the guy never tried it.

Can a Governor in Nigeria happily and voluntarily leave his seat. If you know how much Jonathan spent last year on election just to remain after 6 years.

Did you just call these idiots occupying political offices in Nigeria leaders? Those ones are just first class agberos. We have never had a " real leader" in Nigeria. The closest to that would have been Yaradua. These ones are just waste of space.

U guys are just blabbing because u don't know how parliamentary system works.
Especially in UK.
Everybody just contest in their constituency to become MP ie house of commons, like naija house of reps (naija senate is like UK house or lords).
So the party that has more MPS will select a leader and their leader will be prime minister. And he will select his ministers from other MPS from his party ( they call those ones front benchers).
The opposition will also elect their leader (shadow prime minister) who will also pick his cabinet from his MPs (shadow cabinet).
So for them prime minister means nothing

Should Adolf Hitler surface in Nigeria today, Nigerians would rate him higher than any Nigerian politician.
The lovers of David Cameron in Nigeria have been judging him based on his skin colour, but the people of his country haven`t. In fact, he was roundly booed during his last major outing before leaving office last weekend- that was Wimbledon. His record is about the legalization of gay marriage. Brits also know that he increased tuition fees by almost 1000% while axing university grants for poor students. His record is about cut disability benefits and imposition of bedoom tax; and who can forget the " go home" van that started the crass racism that envelopes the United Kingdom today
David Cameron didn`t call for referendum because he loves democracy, he did so in order to silence the right-wingers in his party so as to have total control. Thinking that he would win, he engaged in a catastrophic gamble that would totally destroy his country sooner or later. Nigerian youngsters see David Cameron as a god, but the youngsters of his country see him as a self-centred power grabber that has taken continental mobility away from them. As a Nigerian, it has been a pleasure to see him gamble away his 5-yr-term, and go down in history as the Prime-Minister that wanted a total control of his Party only to end up taking his country out of the European Union. Sufficient punishment for a fantastically rude Prime-Minister. The Conservative Party is the Conservative Party, everything would end in mayhem!

UyiIredia:

Why do you say that?

The policies on welfare, immigration, housing and more importantly, the EU referendum have made Britain the laughing stock of most developed economies. We used to have EU partners, but now, the British people have chosen to isolate themselves from the world due to the selfishness of David Cameron. He used the future of a whole nation as a personal career gambling tool, and he lost.
