Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti, has opened up on his effort to have a word with President Muhammadu Buhari, who he frequently criticizes.

Fayose claimed he phoned the Aso Villa three times, asking to speak to the president, but each time was diverted to the Buhari’s chief security officer.

“About two – three times I called the villa they would divert my call to the CSO, saying I cannot talk to the president. I should say whatever I want to say to him; a sitting governor? That is not Nigeria. So, at that point, I had to stay clear because they were on a vendetta mission”, Fayose said in a private interview with select journalists.

The embattled governor facing allegation of diverting public funds, also, said he wrote letters to the president.

“I wrote three letters to the president, none of them was replied. Initially, when he became president, I didn’t start like this”, Fayose added.

Asked why, as sitting governor, he shuns state executive council meetings with the president, Fayose said: “Each time they call meeting, my deputy goes there”.

Fayose added that he has did not harrass anyone despite provocation.

“The fact that I criticise you; I don’t have to be in your party! The APC, every day they come here to do rallies, they say that Fayose should resign, they say Fayose is fraudulent, did you see me slapping anybody? I will just look at you. There is freedom of expression.

“Even in the face of intimidation and even in the face of misbehaving, as a leader, you should accommodate all. Let me give you one instance, which the APC can never do to anybody. Throughout the tenure Fayemi was here, I never used a word that is unclean on him. I tell him he is our leader because anybody God has put there is our leader truly.”

Why will Buhari pick his calls?... When you know someone is your nightmare and tormentor you wouldn't want that person to contact you.

Fayose is Buhari's tormentor, He's the spear head exposing the dullard and his corrupt wife.

Mr. Fayose, Ignore the dullard.

Why are you calling him in the first, to beg or what, you better face Ekiti business squarely while patiently waiting for the expiration of your term, and be ready for Kuje confinement.

Are you calling the dead or the living?
The person you said would die before the presidential swearing -in is now you are accusing of not picking your calls.
You should be ashamed of yourself.

Asked why, as sitting governor, he shuns state executive council meetings with the president, Fayose said: “Each time they call meeting, my deputy goes there”.
So you miss the meeting with Buhari face to face, but you feel the best way to get Buhari is to call him 'two or three times'.
I'm sorry for Ekiti people. Even when Tinubu vs Obasanjo was very hot, OBJ and Tinubu still saw eye to eye. OBJ was beside Tinubu when the Idumagbo bomb blast occured.
If you want to discuss anything with Buhari, you have the SEC meeting to see him face to face. No one is barring you from Aso Rock. You calls could be as absurd as your utterances, so I dont expect any sane person to take your calls seriously. Anyone can call Aso Rock and claim to be Fayose.

You have the chance to meet the president face to face but shun it and send your deputy (without the message) only for you to start flashing the residential phone line and refuse to intimate the SGF on the reason for your call.
OMG I wish I would never waste my energy to comment about this man again.

Fayose the chairman of Okada Association of Nigeria. Have u finished cutting ponmo today at the popular Ekiti market? Let me inform u that PMB will only pick the calls of a serious minded and responsible Nigerian and not an okada riding tout parading himself as govnor.

Ok. But what is the essence of his (Govenor Ayodele Fayose) call to Mr. President.

Governor Fayose should just take the back sit & focus on improving the welfare of Ekiti people rather than heating up the polity unnecessarily.
