Positive Facts About The "Change" Administration by Topccy007: 7:59pm On Aug 11, 2016 |
#Change so far by PODE.... Borno schools reopened late last year, after almost 2 years of closure. This year Maiduguri's El-Kanemi Warriors football team played their 1st home game in more than 2 seasons. May 2016: Borno Emirs return home, two years after fleeing Boko Haram insurgents. One of Shiroro's 4 turbines, damaged since 2010, finally repaired in July 2016. Ajaokuta Steel Co entangled in legal dispute since 2008. Finally resolved in July, w/out Nigeria paying anticipated $500m-$700m in penalties. Lagos-Calabar Rail Project, awarded at $11.917bn by previous government. Renegotiated downwards under PMB government, saving $800m. Abandoned 215MW Kaduna Power Plant that was awarded in 2009, and due for completion in 36 months (i.e. 2011), Now on course for completion late next year. Change is borrowing, not to pay salaries, but to invest in infrastructure. Change is rebuilding damaged relations with Cameroon, South Africa and USA. Change is making Boko Haram scared of the Nigerian Military, not the other way round. Change is restarting & completing abandoned projects. Change is paying debts owed to contractors since 2012/13, so road works can resume. Change is boldly facing up to the tragedy that Nigeria emerged from 4 years of $100-oil with nothing by way of savings. Change is also realizing that change takes time. The failings of many years will not vanish overnight. There are no miracles that will take away the pain of fallen oil prices. None. We WILL have to deal with the pain. Only this week the Nigeria Railway Corporation pushed a step further, successfully transporting cattle from Minna to Lagos, BY RAIL. Next month, when School year starts, school feeding programme for Primary 1-3 pupils will be implemented. About 18 states have shown interest. Azura-Edo IPP, stalled for years, now well on course, because FG is serious about fixing power. |

Change is about allowing fulani herdsmen go into peoples farms and graze and any attempt to stop them will lead to destruction of lives and properties as seen in Adamawa, Benue, Taraba, Niger, Enugu to mention a few. Change is seen in buying a bag of maize for 18,000 and a bag of rice for 20,000 while government cannot pay minimum wage salaries of 18,000 naira Change is seen when you exchange dollars for 405 naira per dollar change is when a common man buy kerosine at 300 per liter and refills gas at 4,000 naira Change is when you import grass from Brazil and allow farmers to contend with fulani herdsmen Change is when you arrest and lock up innocent Nigerians for bearing their minds about the activities of government, where is our freedom of information and freedom of speech? Hope no Aishaburton rice eating e-rat will masturbate over my comments like bees 1 Like |
