Working on high tension cables and no PPE in sight. Let's blame Fashola.
Those wires never had any power running through them in the past, Under Minister of Darkness, things are improving(the worker never got the memo)!!!!!

I doubt he is a staff. The way NERC takes all these safety issues, there is no way a DISCO will allow the staff to not wear PPE. Probably on illegal duty.

He would have survived it if it were in GEJ govt.

There would have been no power in those lines or at worse, poor current.

Not only helmet, but also rubber gloves and safety boots. KERDCO should be penalised for not taking staff safety into consideration. RIP to the dead! cry

No safety boots or gloves...what kind of engineering practice do we even have in Nigeria.
Why do we endanger our lives?
80% of accidents that occur in Nigeria can actually be avoided.

That is a distributionion line not transmission. I guess you meant 33kv since Nigeria distributes at 11kv or 33kv.

When are we going to embrace safety culture in government parastatals We just lost a fellow citizen because the system don't want to change in spite of the change chant echoing in the air.An activity like this is suppose to be carried out after appreciating the hazard in the task and putting control and recovery measures in place. Too bad, anyway, this is naija.someday, things will get better so we have been saying from time on.

RIP fellow citizen of naija
