justwise: Thanks once again elder @justwise. From oanda.com it's about 6.2m approximately for a period of one year (tuition and cost of living). But like I earlier stated, I am expecting additional 3m into my account by next week to make 9m in total...part of the money are loans I gave out to friends but no formal document to back it up. Would it be better if I request they send it through my proposed co-sponsor to me, which might be easier to explain or should they just send it direct to my account. I intend to printout my bank statement by this month end, do you think it would be too soon after receiving such lump sum into the account, if yes by how many more days should I delay printing the statement of account. I also intend to go for upfront medicals, any idea the time interval between when I do the medicals and when I should apply? Would you advise online to paper based application |

Good morning all. I want to know if it's essential to write IELTS Academic to get a job while studying in Canada. The school I applied to do not need IELTS for admission purposes. But someone said if I do not have IELTS Academics I won't be able to work. I already have IELTS General with good scores. Don't know if that covers the Academics for work purposes. Thanks for your kind response |

[quote author=MarionRN post=53404644] Thanks for your time to respond @penitential. I have been reading but did not get answer to some point like what are the necessary documents my sponsor need to provide as UAE residents1. You will need a good P.O.F preferably S.O.A with good inflow and outflow to show the financial capability of Your sponsor towards his/her commitment to you. 2. You need relationship proof between you and your sponsor. E.g Marriage certificate if he/she is your spouse, Passport data page,.... 3. Also a letter or affidavit of sponsorship from your sponsor. ( in some cases). OR your sponsor can choose to put in some money into your account (but must be explained) for self sponsor. Just my opinion for now, you can still visit the previous mentioned thread for proper clarification. |

chigrad:No. It isn't essential to write IELTS or whatever exam to get a job while studying. That's a totally wrong info. Once you arrive Canada with your study visa, your work permit will be issued at Point of entry (POE) all things being equal. 1 Like |

CarpricornPratt: Thanks at CarpriconPratt. I got this mail frm Canadian embassy accra Ghana yesterday. Please, Someone should help me analyze it. Dear ............ I have reviewed your application and documents you submitted in its support. Subsection 11(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act provides that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or any other document required by the Regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of this Act. I have concerns that you have not fulfilled the requirement put upon you by section 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, which states: 16(1) A person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires. In the current application package, you submitted a bank statement purportedly issued by Skye Bank that has been determined to be fraudulent. Please note that if it is found that you have engaged in misrepresentation in submitting your application, you may be found to be inadmissible under section 40(1)(a) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. A finding of such inadmissibility would render you inadmissible to Canada for a period of five years according to section 40(2)(a): 40(1) A permanent resident or a foreign national is inadmissible for misrepresentation (a) for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of this Act 40(2) The following provisions govern subsection (1): (a) the permanent resident or the foreign national continues to be inadmissible for misrepresentation for a period of five years following, in the case of a determination outside Canada, a final determination of inadmissibility under subsection (1) or, in the case of determination in Canada, the date the removal order is enforced. I would like to give you an opportunity to respond to this information. I will afford you fifteen (15) days from the date of this letter to make any representations in this regard. Please use the address noted on this letter for all correspondence, and clearly indicate your file number. If you do not respond to this request within the time outlined above, your application will be assessed based on the information available, which will likely result in a refusal. Thank you for the interest you have shown in Canada. Regards, Immigration Section | Programme d'immigration (LA) High Commission of Canada | Haut commissariat du Canada P.O. MarionRN:The link @Penitential gave to you will best guide you as people that visited canada for conferences can readily answer your questions there. Anywhere,to help alittle: 1.See CIC requirements for Business visit(conferences falls under this) here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/business-who.asp and this thread too https://www.nairaland.com/137939/urgent-visiting-canada-conference 2.Your travel history is good and will help your application. 3.Congratulations!!!! 4.The best for him to do is to transfer money into your account that will cover your entire expenses(flight, hotel accomodation, feeding etc) for the duration of the conference and you act as self sponsor. Since you are not married to him yet or have your marriage certificate, he won't be considered your husband. If you have lived with him for 1 year and can show you both have been in a conjugal relationship with documentary evidence showing activities involving both of you(strong social, financial and romantic ties),he can be your common law partner. Other than this, Leave him out of the picture, get the cash into your account that will cover your stay and apply.( its a short stay and a one time amount is sufficient). 5. You can request that your school gives you a letter atteasting to this and that they are aware of your intended conference and believes it will add significantly to you as you will be starting your MSC. Also, home ties in Nigeria is very important if not the MOST important because it is your country of citizenship. (Family, assets) attach all docs to show strong ties with these. The links provided will be most useful to you. Best regards. |

In the current application package, you submitted a bank statement purportedly issued by Skye Bank that has been determined to be fraudulent.[quote] It simply means the SOA you submitted was doctored. If it's NOT print same SOA from Skye bank with a letter from the bank stating they issued the SOA it to you. 1 Like |

AYMONI: Please clear your name from the above post...... i believe this should not be an issue if you didnt submit a fraudulent bank statement as raised by the VO. Now you ve been given the opportunity to proof that and now the onus is on u proof that by reproducing the same statement of account from Skype Bank as at the date of submission (just as u submitted it). If possible, get an introductory letter from the bank as well. my little ''pesewa'' on matter. Goodluck 2 Likes |

AYMONI: First go to your two post, click modify, and remove your name and details. Second, on the account issue, you have the best advise already that says you should ask your bank to write you a letter if it is genuine and send to them asap. If the bank account is fake, you don enter Canada visa trap b that. I don't know what you will do in that case. You may write a letter acknowledging your wrong and plead for mercy, maybe they will refuse and not ban you. 3 Likes |
