I was refused Entry Clearance in July for the following reasons; 1. Your B.Eng Certificate could not be verified using standard procedures (I used my original B.Eng certificate from UNIZIK Awka in my application) 2. The statements of account used could not be verified using standard procedures (Used Bank PHB and Intercontinental Bank Statements with combined balance of N2.5M and money was left in the account till I got the refusal notice) Because time was very short, I deferred my admission and would like to try again this January. So, I have decided to move my account and use GTB this time around. I also intend to enclose a sealed copy of my transcript addressed to to UKBA. Please anyone with similar experience should help advise me on the steps to take to ensure success this time around. Thanks for your assistance. |

Got a message yesterday from VAC, after, wait for it, 30 working days (August 16th). Those BHC guys really took their time on this one. Anyways flew down to lagos this morning, picked it up, checked the passport (yay visa was included). Thank God. Ran back to PH to finish my packing. Fly back to lagos tomorrow. Into London Saturday. To Surrey sunday. Resume classes monday. fun, fun. Thanks to everyone who has contributed. Very helpful board. |

Hello House. First I want to wish all those who have applied success in their applications. Please I need your advice. 1. I would like to know which other banks are advisable to use for the Tier 4 student application apart from Guaranty Trust Bank, as I have read on this forum that the British High Commission is unable to verify Bank Statements from certain banks? 2. My Course will end on 8th June 2012 while my International Passport will expire on 28th September 2012 and since my International Passport does not completely cover the additional four months usually given to a student after the course end date, will I need to obtain a new International Passport? Thank you guys and looking forward to your response. |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered by muami(m): 7:34am On Oct 04, 2010 |
Hello House. 1. Apart from GT Bank, you could use UBA's statement of account. That is what I have been using for visas for myself and my family. 2. You do not need to get a new passport. Your visa would still be issued to cover the additional four months. However, do remember to renew your passport before the expiry date and always travel with both of them when you are traveling into the UK. The UK immigration officer would confirm your visa in the old passport, stamp on the new passport and write VIPP in the new passport meaning "visa in previous passport". I hope this helps |

@muami: That is the problem with us Nigerians, they never investigate and pass outrageous comments. We should learn to be civilized in our approach to things. Mr or Mrs muami have u taken the pains to investigate or even check out the website before making such offensive comments? Afterall i am a fellow Nigerian like you , and i thought instead of being selfish by keeping the company to myself and doing nothing, let me help other u might benefit from the facilities i have and knowledge i know. For the records: I have a real company registered in UAE,UK and New Zealand, if you doubt it, u a free to investigate, we are not afraid to display our credentials for all to see. I dont know about you. In a sense, i dont blame you, because i was once like you always passing my frustration to whatever i do, but after living outside Nigeria for few years, i learnt to change my approach and look at things critically. So my friend, no offence taken or hard feelings, i am just trying to help my fellow Nigerians with the facilities i have at my disposal.I have companies and i have the facility to sponsor whoever i like to obtain a UAE residence visa, so whats the harm in doing so? More so once you a resident, UK visas are piece of cake from here.People correct me if i am wrong! I am a pure Nigerian boy born an bred in Lagos, Ebutte Metta, Schooled in UK, worked in Asia, Middle east and NZ. In all these countries, i have made friends and acquaintances who are the foundations of my business connections today. Why the beef? Instead of the beef, pray to God for yours! So MUAMI abeg take it easy! |

mike.apiit:Shameless criminals like you are the reason why Nigeria rate of visa refusal is so high, I can't stand mindless fools who are so proud to be a thief. slowpoke you can't guarantee anybody visa to any country and there is nothing like 100% visa guarantee to the UK or USA. |

@Muami @dayo 1401 Guys, u see what i was just saying moments ago! This Muami person who was passing outrageous comments is just a frustrated young man who is trying to apply for a masters in UK and is uncertain if he is going to get a visa or not! He was so fraustrated he saw my post and called it criminal! Whatt he does not know is that i could give him a cheaper option to study for his master without having to cue or fast to obtain a UK student visa. Let me explain to everyone: Firstly, Mr Muami got an admission to a UK university, but then Visa is an headache for him. He has extended his admission a couple of times hoping to get his visa. From assessment, his chances of getting a visa is 50/50 Secondly, why does he want to go to the UK? Ans: to get UK education and afterall stay back in UK get a job, earn good salary and live a good life. But the reality is this: UK is full of unemployed graduates from top universities and believe me, UK residents are looking elsewhere for jobs. For Nigerians its even more difficult because all d jobs u can get is no more then telephone operator or flipping burgers at burger king! So then comes the ultimate question: did u come to the UK to get educated and work in a restaurant or hustle hard to eat? At least in Nigeria, u eat well and have a roof over your head. The answer to my Muami's problem or an average Nigerian in UK looking for a job or Nigerian dieing for a UK visa: 1- For people who want to study in UK and cant get a visa: Go to Asia countries like Malaysia, Singapore, study at the UK or Australian Universities there, get your UK certificate. There are a couple of good UK universities there, like the prestigious Nottingham University; they teach the same UK curriculum and you get the same degree as the guy in UK. Your advantage is , its cheaper to live in these Asian countries and you can easily get your student visa (At least my company can help with this) 2- For Nigerians looking for a job in UK: come to the middle east, earn good tax free salaries. and also i can guarantee you u will earn at least double of what you will earn in the UK with a UK certificate. My company here can help with all this procedures including residence visa, employment visas etc, Details here:http://www.wix.com/ttbrokers/vfn 3-For Nigerians who love Nigeria but wanna have a foreign residence visa on their passport to travel round the world once in a while: Our 3 years residence visa is the solution. With this visa , you can travel as many time as you want and also apply for European visas without even appearing for an interview, your vis will be delivered to you at home in hours, unlike dying in abuja or lagos for a common visa. Details here http://www.wix.com/ttbrokers/vfn I hope this has helped (especially Mr Muami & Dayo1401 who see confused) Regards Mike |

Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered by mikeapiit: 8:57am On Oct 04, 2010 |
@Justwise Why are you running away? Defend yourself! I have mentioned in my last post! You are simply frustrated and unfortunately, it has clouded your sense of reasoning. In UAE, visa are 100% guaranteed, because all visa are processed over a period of time (we have mentioned it on the website also). First stage: you apply to the ministry of labour who approves your labour card / work permit Second stage: u get your residence visa approval from immigration Third stage: u fly in for your medical tests Fourth stage: u get ur residence visa on your passport So whats the denial rate here: 0%. You only get denied when u have a criminal record or u have a communicable disease. There is no such thing as visa denial here! You can ask your aunties who come to trade here, they have better knowledge to explain you. Again, am emphasizing , Nigerians are suffering from lack of knowledge! Ask , research and find out before u start dieing for visas! By the way, i dont know what u mean by Ubaka Ilozue, am pure yoruba boy! |

@Justdumb. You wish! In your wildest dreams! I get i now, u are posing as a fake immigration advisor to innocent people online! Dont listen to this fool. How can u listen to an advice from someone who doesn't know the difference between two words? Ask him, has he ever been to the airport before or even smelt the UK air before? Mee, hn, i pity my people, not to worry Mike is here to the rescue! At least for us, we are giving the people the choice to come to UAE and see us face to face! Ask Mr Justdumb, can he offer you this? Dont be fooled, while he was registering his account, he chose UK, so he can fool u. Also , please check all d posts he has made so far and my replies, u will see he is nothing but a cheap fool! |
