There is no Jan admission, my course is Veterinary Epidemiology at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, so I have to defer till next year September. I submitted on that 27/09/2010 because I kept my tuition and maintenance in my account on the 30/08/2010 so 27/09 was when I completed the consecutive 28 day period stuff, Thanks I really appreciate it, There was a time I emailed you for a piece of advice but you did not reply.

The mean issue is that I have done a semester already, just came to renew my papers oo since june. @ Dannyboy80 The Post Graduate Admission Officer had already told me that October 4 was the latest resumption date but I didn't believe him. I had a belief that since my documentation was correct and perfect then resumption date should not be a problem but to my surprise I was refused on the grounds that the school resumed Monday September 27 and the latest date was the next Monday October 4, and if you remember vividly Friday October 1 was the Independence Day, so Monday to Thursday were just 4 working days and I submitted on that Monday September 27. I feel that if I go for Admin Review (which normally takes 28 days i.e 1 month), they will still say that the school had resumed since September 27 i.e 2 months ago, so i can not join them as late student when i could not join them in the first place as a late student just a week after resumption. It is complicated.

You just said it all on the bolded part. You will not be doing urself any favour by joining them months late. Masters is just 9-10months, if u joined by Dec then u have missd a semester, leaving you with only one semester left, that is not value for the money you paid

Maintenance money is £7200 in london and not £12,000 that CAS info is incorrect. Have you shop around to see if there are other uni offering the same course?

Also I've paid the 1000 pounds non-refundable deposit so I can not shop around for another school. UK, US and some EU countries are short of Epidemiologists, in fact there are few specialists in Epidemiology in Nigeria and there is job placement for them. A friend of mine just finished from RVC and he's got a job even before graduation. He is in Cambridge now. Other cheaper course is Public Health and everybody does it. Epidemiology is not a common course and is all encompassing embracing Statistics, Public health, Community health, Human and Animal Preventive Medicine, so it's my choice, Please can you add me on messenger so that we can chat better.

The school is just turning you to their cash machine, accommodation outside uni is far more cheaper, forget about the feeding side cos u will still end up eating outside, its not a requirement for you to leave in uni accommodation or even book accommodation B4 applying for visa.

Anyway. . . i just get fed up when i see how some schools here are trying to milk every last unnessary kobo out of foreign students.

@dayo1401 Yes I submitted on the 27/09 and I recieved a text msg on the 14/10 to collect my passport. It was actually less than 15 working days and I didn't use any agent. I live in Ibadan so I traveled down to their office at Oregun to submit. I was given red jacket and they wrote 15 working days on my photocopied passport page, Red jacket is for Abuja while Black jacket is for Lagos,

I think I agree wif justwise, payin for accomodatin isn't a requirement
Infact in my last refusal,the eco didn't even look at the accomodatin fee I paid to my tier 4 sponsor, as shown in cas,instead the eco mentioned the 5400 for maintance
I think , while paying ur tuition fee fully can b an advantage, paying for accomodation isn't
Just pay ur tuition fully, if u ve the money and put in 7200 or 5400 as the case may b in ur acc

Did the deputy VC put his promise to u in writing or just a verbal telephone conversation?

he sent it to my mail and also forwarded it to the intl admission office stating that i can come and register on the 22nd of oct, but my cas states 19th as the dealine,i called BHC on the 15th, they said my application wld b processed on the 18th,i just hope the embassy wld not refused me based on the dealine on my cas,can u advice pls

There is no really much u can do now, u have submitted already. So just pray that the decision favours u.

i just tink i wld call the customer care again and still pray,cos the gal that answerd me on friday said i shld just request for an extension till friday that i wld get my application by then, but do dey normally refused based on late submission

@Tommee. All you need to do is to use your uncle as your legal guardian so that you can use his statement of account for maintenance. The following items are important if you are using your uncle's account
1. A court document naming you and your uncle e.g a sworn affidavit (as evidence of relationship)
2. A letter of financial consent from your uncle. the letter should state that you are his nephew or he is your uncle and he will make available to you the maintenance fees and that he wants to be responsible for the payments of your maintenance fees
3. Your uncle's statement of account if it is a savings account. make sure the money has been in his account for consecutive 28 days (weekends and holidays inclusive) and make sure that after collecting the statement it must not be more than 1 month before applying for visa e.g if you collect the statement today lodge in your visa application tomorrow or next but not after 1 month.
but if your uncle is using fixed deposit, a letter from his bank stating your name, your uncle's name, the relationship between you and your uncle, the amount of money in the account and that the money is for your maintenance. Consecutive 28 day period also applies

This was the way I did mine and they gave me 10 points for maintenance.
