The reason why Kenya's slum population is growing is because they have very few urban areas besides Nairobi. Every Kenyan wants to live in Nairobi. Meanwhile the good parts of Nairobi are expensive for the locals. The settlers have the best parts. If you look at the pictures the Kenyans have been posting, its always the same parts for over 7000 pages.
Most of the guys posting here are in kibera and other slums but they'll tell you they are ICT engineers and IMF economists.
