That is not true. Without even factoring the 4 times the population and twice the land size - you cannot beat kenya - in many of those things - remove non-oil fdi - and you got nothing.

But it is my brother ...facts are you cannot shy away from it...just compare our tech sector for instance

Give me FDI and breakdown by sector.
Shaytun:

It’s actually from non oil FDI dunce..it might amaze you but we don’t actually get much foreign investment in the oil sector, reason why we’ve been try to pass the PIB bill

Tech sector we normally beat you - except for one or two years.

Focus on debt servicing ratio.

Fake GDP doesn't repay debt. Gov revenues repay it

Nigeria’s Total Debt Stock (Foreign & Domestic), as at June 2020 stood at N31.01 trillion ($85.9 billion)

Now go back to your budget - less than Kenya. Check how much money do you have in your coffers to repay that debt - less than Kenya - sometimes 10-15B dollars.

And you'll read such shocking stories - Nigeria debt servicing ratio is 99%
https://nairametrics.com/2020/06/13/nigeria-records-debt-service-to-revenue-ratio-of-99-in-first-quarter-of-2020/

And again you keep pulling things out of your arse.

I’ve proved it to you that we have a bigger budget than you.

56>26

Money in our coffers?? grin

You want to compare our foreign reserves?? sad sad shocked

I see you've gone to default mode. Find Ghana and engage them. Kenya is aiming for South Africa. Not your zoo. Fix electricity first.

Whats this all about?
This is how someone summarised it cheesy

GameStop saga is a ludicrous stock mania born of pandemic boredom and FOMO, piggybacking off of a clever Reddit revenge plot, which targeted hedge funds, who made a reckless bet on a struggling retailer—and it’s going to end with lots of people losing incredible amounts of money.

It was a protest buy against the hedge funds that had “shorted” the stock, a financial maneuver that allows them to make money by correctly predicting when stocks will drop in value.. grin

grin grin

You’re not aiming for anything dunce.

Your real estate sector value is less than that of Tanzania.

All the infractural development going on in your country is not up to $3b...your debt is 67% of your GDP ...you have less than $26b budget for 2021,

Nigeria just repaid Eurobond of 6.75% with both interest and principal that matured on the 28.

Your country can only dream of that

Our electricity sector is improving day by day. grin

By next year we should be doing around 18,000MW , while Kenya is still stuck in 2,000MW.

It’s obvious we are not even in the same league anymore

Lol...it’s worse than I thought.

“But recent experience in Kenya suggests this is a plan fraught with danger if other components that are required for its fruition are not in place. Kenya’s Chinese-built $3.2 billion Standard Gauge Railway connecting its capital city Nairobi and the port city of Mombasa has already lost $200 million in just three years of operation. One key reason has been that the rail has been unattractive to cargo owners because of its higher fees and tariffs, additional time clearing goods, and a lack of last-mile delivery, when compared to trucks.”

Facts are indeed stubborn.

Olander attributed Africa’s rail boom in the past decade to China’s indispensable roles in providing access to capital and actually building the railways. Nigeria has a better chance of avoiding some of the pitfalls of Kenya, which looks like it may struggle to pay back its loans. Nigeria’s railway project costs less comparatively and it has a stronger cash flow position than Kenya as long as oil prices do not fall precipitously.

For the most part, it looks like the Nigerian government’s been doing quite a good job. Contrary to widespread misperceptions, Nigeria doesn’t actually borrow that much from China and what they do borrow is used to build strategically essential infrastructure.”

Teething problem during operational - you're yet to even start transporting cargo through trains. Those problems of last mile, congestion at Nairobi dry port and etc are being fixed.

We certainly didn't expect to turn profit for first 10yrs.

How has it improved? You can have 18,000MW but the peak generation is what 3,000MW. The turbines cannot just turn when producers are not paid. Let's not talk about the collapsed network...due overloading and disrrepair.

You may live all your lifetime in that mess - of generators and blackouts.

Learn the difference between generation, distribution and transmission then we can have a discussion.

After awarding contract - what else was your waiting for - or you had no money - just awarding contract without money. DELUSION. In kenya contracts are only awarded when the money is ready and all regulations have been passed.

Good for you then.

The crux of the matter is we generate, produce and transmit more electricity than Kenya can hope to achieve in the next ten years.

And according to the international energy agency our citizens have a higher access to electricity.
