Stop looking at the colorization and focus on the bars. Net exporters bars are stretching in the left direction while Net importers bars are stretching towards the right direction.
The colorization is there for a reason. Use your head. Pointing out anything that doesn't favour you is not an attack.

Ghanaian chocolate manufacturer, Niche Cocoa has opened a manufacturing plant in USA. It also has another huge manufacturing plant in Germany
The cocoa processing company's headquarters is in Tema, Ghana.

The project is the largest African food and beverage investment in US history.
Misplaced priorities, too bad cos those billions if could have been invested in other African countries with cheap labour, it would have made the company more money and also it would have created more jobs on the continent, the US already has plenty of jobs

Not necessarily. Africa need to grow its brand. If this Niche guys will do it in US and Europe - while keep it's root in Ghana - that would great. What is even greater is if Ivory coast and Ghana - who control the market - met and decided to ban raw export of cocoa beans - or at least begin a graduated process where eventually at least 50% of cocoa beans are turned to chocolate bars right in Ghana - and ivory coast - doubling the value chain.

Ugandans are angry with these Kenyans. Remember these Kenyans have been campaigning in European countries to halt the construction of oil pipeline from Uganda to Tz.Uganda have been pissed off. What Uganda wants is for kenya to stop siding with the opposition parties who are caimpaigning against that oil pipeline which these opposition parties believe it will make museveni family to gain more power of ruling Uganda. For Kenyans, they are just jeolous of this pipeline because they wanted it to pass through kenya.

Buddy, Museveni made his son a general and to confuse the population talked about Kenya on Twitter. Tanzania does not factor anywhere.

You always blame Kenya for your own mess. Kenya media, kenya opposition, etc. It's always Kenya fault that you cannot do anything

Kenya import of cocoa and cane rat is zero. Look for something to export to Kenya - even if it's kente dress - so far we have positive trade balance - batteries and tea smiley

If Ghana wants to export to Kenya we will export food because you guys need it

How many African countries consumes as much chocolate as those markets?

If you want to profit and escape the duty quota system, then you will want to set up in a much larger market
