I am pleasantly surprised. I wont be surprised though if it's been completed vandalized. How do you explain the incessant fuel shortages in Nigeria. How do you explain crazy fuel tankers in Lagos bursting into flames. I remember reading Dangote refinery thing - and biggest problem was lack of product pipeline - the refined fuel would be fed into fuel tankers. theenchanter: |

Once again misplaced anger. This is Nigeria on a typical day. Fuel shortage crisis. How can you boast of a functional product pipeline and have this? theenchanter: 1 Like

Suffering and Smilling, you were right, this Nigeria is crazy, now cash shortages in bank - the ultimate zoo. HOW THE HELL DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN. How is that even possible... Speaking on condition of anonymity, the official who heads one of the branches of a Tier-1 bank in Lagos, said: “Yes, it is in all the banks. I don’t really know what is going on. I will just be in my office and hear customers calling me that they want to withdraw cash and the staff were saying there is no money, and I will call somebody downstairs to help me look for cash or call another branch that we need cash, ‘can I send someone to you to collect some cash?’ https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/01/widespread-cash-supply-shortage-persists-in-banks/ 1 Like |

In Africa, We don't produce oil but we're one of the most developed countries in pipeline infrastructure. Nigeria, one of the biggest oil producers in the world is not doing well - neither are they bad. 1 Like

samorobo: That is according to you, who don't have a brain, but according to jl115, who is 10times more intelligent than you, knows with facts at hand that Lagos ain't more developed than Kigali, Nairobi, and windhoek. If you want to bash Kenya in that sense, remember that your country is 1000yrs below Kigali. And please, you're a disgrace to some of your compatriots, try expand your horizon of thinking, don't glue yourself on Kenyan affairs, there is Ghana and SA too. |

theenchanter: Mr, we just discovered oil recently, relax. It will take time to assemble the right technology - but before that, get your facts right. your article is 8yrs old when we've just discovered oil. Nigeria which has been the biggest - and the leading oil producer in Africa for decades can't even brag about basic pipeline & electricity infrastructure. Your country should be doing Dubai kind of stuff, not allowing your cities to sink into shambolic state . |

Shma:if u think the article is 8yrs old, then it's either u need a new phone, a new concave lens glasses or better still, a new pair of eyes because the article clearly dated "Friday, September 17, 2021", only the inserted picture that was taken in 2014. Dumb people everywhere.... From rvp, ur master, to the least idiot. If u can't get the right technology for 8yrs, what's d assurance that u'll get it in the next 80yrs? My country, Nigeria is doing it's best and I don't care about ur perception of her. The point is, never u idiots claim to be a mineral-less country. theenchanter:I will go with the tools you drop for reference. Your own tool is displaying a 2014 image, which sums up 8yrs mark. I can write an article today and use the same content used in 2010 - it won't dispute the fact that the information is out of date. Nigeria is doing her best, yes. If that's your capacity, then cool. You didn't discover your oil, whites did - they provided the right technology to produce it, and they engineered the whole process until your brainless illiterates came for lessons who later took part in the process. In Kenya, only kenyans - blacks discovered the oil. We did it on our own, We're extracting it on our own - with slight help from white experts - if the tech ain't capable enough, we've money to import more capable machines. |

Shma:it's obvious, like rvp, u don't have sense. The article is a 2021 article but they used a 2014 image to drive their point, because apparently, nothing much have been done on site for them a get latest image, hence the usage of the image they've got. Yes, u can write an article today and use 2010 content, but if the story on ground hasn't changed, then the today's article u wrote is not out of date because it's still a matter arising as at the time u wrote d article. Ok, whites discovered oil in Nigeria abi? But is it not d same whites that discovered oil in Kenya, why haven't they provided the right technology for you to explore it? Only if u know when to stop an argument, it'll save the earth some CO2. 1 Like |

The future of Kenya is Lamu industrial port city and Mombasa free port. Gov need to take care of AGOA - and establish industries around LAMU deep sea port. Once Japanase also build the free dongo kundu port - all the likoni-kwale areas can become a new industrial complex. LAMU SEZ - 700Km SQm - will create 1 million jobs - I would invest in Lamu in the medium term. The deep sea port is ready. Mombasa and Kisumu will take some time to fly The Kenya vision 2030, envisions 3 world-class Special Economic Zones for Kenya •1) Greater Mombasa SEZ : 3,000 sq km – (to create 2 million new jobs). •2) Lamu SEZ: 700 sq km – (to create 1 million new jobs). •3) Kisumu SEZ: 700 sq km- (to create 1 million new jobs). Special Economic Zones may include, but not limited to: (a) free trade zones; (b) industrial parks; (c) free ports; (d) information communication technology parks; (e) science and technology parks; (f) agricultural zones; (g) tourist and recreational zones; (h) business service parks; (i) livestock zones. theenchanter: Nonsense - don't reduce yourself to a dimwit, you're way above that. simple arithmetics will give you the power of time difference. You discovered oil a long time ago, Kenya just did it recently. You should understand different types of business level, starting with the early stage which involves production, we are still in production level, we have to spend a lot to earn a licence. You didn't even read your article to understand. You're just replaying for relying sake. Your article, Tullow has yet to develop the field for commercial production more than nine years after it first struck oil in Turkana, attributing the delay to factors such as unfavourable global oil prices since 2014, approval delays for land and water rights, a tax dispute and Covid-19 disruptions. The firm and its partners in the project Africa Oil and Total had initially planned to reach a final investment decision in 2019 and production of the first oil between this year and next year. Tullow has already presented the Kenya government with a draft comprehensive investment plan for oil production in Turkana, looking to beat a government deadline to do so by the end of this year or risk losing the concession. Tullow expects the Ministry of Petroleum to peruse the plan and provide feedback before it presents a final plan by December. Approval of the investment plan will see the firm kick off plans to build the infrastructure, including an 825-kilometre heated pipeline to evacuate Kenya’s oil. “Tullow and its joint venture partners have worked closely together over the past year to reshape the Kenya Development. Through this work, we have made the project financially viable at lower oil prices and adjusted our plans to improve the environmental and social impact of the development,” said Tullow. When a firm first wins an oil licence, it is typically given a number of years of exclusive rights to explore. |

theenchanter: Understand the time difference. The whites who discovered your oil had a mission. They have drained your oil and now, they have left you with nothing. The people who discovered your oil have exploited you. Kenya is not going to do that. We are going to conduct this process with due diligence. |

But from ur post anyway, it's obvious kenya is still useless because since 2014 when u discovered oil, u still can't get approval for land and water right, together with tax dispute.
