I purchased this laptop last year and it came with an in-built microphone. I tried it at the time and it was working fine. But at a point, i had to format my hard drive and i think i reinstalled everything. but for some reason, my mic can't seem to work. my speakers are working fine though.

is there anyone that can help me on the right software to download? or the solution to this?

Your external mic's not working, hmm, have you tried using a head set and see if it works?? try that

Ok, I take is Vista ? if so then you need to make sure the Microphone is plugged to the Mic port.
