People who survive strokes are expected to undergo one or more therapeutic exercises to help them get back to living normally again. Stroke significantly interferes with the normal operation or functioning of the body so it is important that stroke survivors partake actively in therapy.

People recovering from stroke will need to participate in one or more of this:

Therapy 1: Speech and swallow

After a stroke, the ability to coordinate the facial muscles to either speak or swallow may be affected. Hence, the need for this therapy. Usually, this therapy is done while the patient is still at the hospital.

The importance of this therapy is worth opting for the process. First, speech is essential for communication and if you can't speak clearly becomes of some abnormality that could be restrictive. Also, swallowing paves the way for nutrition.
