If you tell me that a flood once covered the whole earth and your only evidence for it is some document that was written thousands of years ago by unknown writers then I will personally accept that you do not know what you are talking about. . . . The evidence of Noah's Flood as you have asked can be clearly seen all over the earth, from seabeds to mountaintops.  Whether you travel by car, train or plane, the physical features of the earth's terrain clearly indicate a catastrophic past, from canyons and craters to coal beds and caverns.  Some layers of strata extend across continents, revealing the affects of a huge catastrophe.

The earth's crust has massive amounts of layered sedimentary rock, sometimes kilometres deep!  These layers of sand, soil and material, mostly laid down by water; which were once soft like mud, but they are now hard stone.  Encased in these sedimentary layers are billion of dead things (fossils of plants and animals) buried very quickly.  The evidence all over the earth is staring everyone in the face except you.

Real science and scientists confirms the Bible.  Where is your evidence that the Bible said that the sun rotates round the earth?  Don't just make blank allegations quote the chapter and verse that supports your allegation.  The mere fact that you are skeptical about the global Flood of Noah makes the Bible fresher than tomorrow's newspaper, it has predicted that people like you will come up to dispute this fact that happened in the history of this earth.

What really was the purpose of the story? Personally, the biggest line of reasoning against the biblical flood is the sheer incompetence displayed by the biblegod in the story.

The whole point was to destroy evil, right? To reset the world back to the mythical garden of eden where there is no evil, right?

This is the best that an all-powerful, all-knowing supernatural being could do? destroy the earth according to the story, destroy all its inhabitants, refuse to destroy his worst enemy devil(because according to the story the devil was not destroyed) who is supposed to be his worst enemy and the being that is responsible for evil in the world. After allegedly destroying the earth with a flood according to the myth, men continued to disobey him and he sometime had to come down from heaven and fight with men using his mighty sword of slaughter, shouting and crying while killing men as recorded in some books of the bible .

So what was the purpose of destroying the earth with a flood assuming the story were true? Why destroy all of humanity and leave out the devil who was responsible for leading them astray in the first place according to the story. After destroying humanity people continued to sin and rebel against this deity. So what was the purpose of the flood? what did it accomplish?

"Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.  But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord" -- Genesis 6:5,6

These verses speak for themselves.  Every human being on the face of the earth had turned after the wickedness in their own hearts, but Noah, because of his righteousness before God, was spared from God's judgment, along with his wife, their sons and their wives.  As a result of man's wickedness, God sent judgment on all mankind.  As harsh as the destruction was, no living person was without excuse.

God also used the Flood to separate and to purify those who believed in Him from those who didn't.  Throughout history and throughout the Bible, this cycle has taken place time after time: separation, purification, judgment and redemption. Without God and without a true knowledge and understanding of Scripture (not myth as you believe), which provides the true history of the world, man is doomed to repeat the same mistakes over and over again.  That is the purpose.

That a global cataclysmic flood occurred cannot be denied by considering all the evidence. All nations and all tribes have a story about the flood which has been likely corrupted if the story was passed down orally. I feel so sorry for those who have no knowledge that people in the past (around 1600 AM or 2500 BC) had technology much better than us and we are just beginning to catch up. We still cannot cut large blocks of stone like those ancients in Africa, America, Asia and Europe. Who built the Great Pyramid?? Who built the structures on Easter Island?? One block in Lebanon is so massive NO CRANE ON THIS PLANET CAN CARRY IT!!

Noah built the ark mainly of gopher (cypress) wood but he had metal rivets and washers in the ark. The rivet contained titanium, aluminum, manganese, vanadium and chromium. He need not take the fish with him according to Genesis. He only took a pair [female and male] of every unclean kind and seven of every clean kind. If anyone tells me the dog, wolf and coyote are of the same kind, I would believe the person. The horse, zebra and donkey are the same kind of animal. How did clams in the closed position get to the top of Mount Everest, Mount Kilimanjaro or the rest? Might I add that clams CANNOT walk? FOSSILIZATION (the hardening of organic tissue) requires a RAPID BURIAL BY WATER to occur. Clams also open when they die so this evinces the clams were not expecting to die.

ALL ANIMALS ARE SMALL BEFORE THEY GET LARGE. Noah could easily have taken 1000's of tiny land animals which would later grow large and adapt to their environment after the flood. In humans, we have seen a White South African give birth to a Black and a Black Nigerian give birth to a White. A similar phenomenon occurs in animals at times. I would rather believe in the most high GOD through his son (Yeshua the MESSIAH) my whole life and when I die find out he is fake than scoff at him my entire life to find out he is real at RESURRECTION.
