Did you read? Four police men, what were you expecting? Against probably 12 well armed kidnappers.

Obviously, the kidnappers will be arrested if they harm her.
so any time policemen encounter criminals that out number they should run abi? if those policemen could escape,it means that some of the people in their convey could escape too.those run away policemen should be arrested asap after all,if dem rob for pesin house the police would arrest every higher mammal on two leg within the environ.

I think a tactical retreat with the most valuable employee should have being their first priority, meaning they should have divided into two teams, one holds of the kidnappers for a few minutes by drawing fire & distracting them while the second team tries to escape with the supposed target. after that the other team can also retreat immediately.

I guess they don't teach that at the police academy

Exactly. They have got two options.

1) release her and face the wrath of the Nigerian military.
2)Harm her and the military descend on you.

Either which way, NASRDA is there tracking them.

Anyone guessed how the military got their location? [/quo
let them rescue the woman without her being maimed for life that's all that matters.
although its sad the discrepancy in the government response to crime perpetuated against a common man and the high flung is much.
by the way did the ever catch those peeps that enacted a Grand theft auto like robbery in lagos?

Who in his right mind will dream of investing in Nigeria with Buhari in power?

Maybe he wanted to say "it may FURTHER scare investors away"

having a security detail comprising of 4 mobile police men without bullet proof vest though armed with ak's is similar to taking a knife to a gun fight. ow will a bare chested mobile policeman protect his vip from armed thugs? in which world will that happen? the likely reason why they ran away when faced with the kidnappers. i do wonder why its difficult to kit security details with full body armour, but easy to buy the luxury cars that are not even bullet proof. it beats imagination.
most assault refiles can rubbish most bullet proof vests in the market today.

My br, the problem of Nigeria is multifaceted .The NFP is not well equipped. In fact i get infuriated each time i see the wood they give to our security agencents as gun

I feel for the woman

by God's grace, I travelled in August this year along that route notorious for its numerous potholes. While journey went on I'd say we encountered close to 5 different checkpoints with various law enforcement agents ranging from soldiers to highway patrol policemen, all eager to flag down any vehicle with a private or commercial licence plate. The time between each checkpoint could be argued at roughly 10 minutes, so my questions would be;
-in the reported exchange of gunfire, did the security detail radio their command centre to 'epp'?
-is it possible that all the checkpoint patrol did not hear the exchange( a negative answer should be considered as a blatant lie)
-how did the kidnappers get away with their victim, as I previously stated there are a LOT of checkpoints around that axis
I hope the victim gets out unhurt.

For them to capture a whole president uncle, capture minister Okonjo mother who is CBN mother for them. The whole country is a jungle now more security in the land. They should just shut down the whole place. To imagine that the criminals are somewhere in this country yet the police cannot figure it out is baffling. Come to think of it if they have the tools to unravel the whereabouts of the CBN gov wife why cant they use the same vigor and method to fish out the Chibok girls too.

A lot of people are kidnapped every day in Nigeria, the security situation is quite poor and successive governments keep paying lip service preferring to move in armed convoys and securing their own homes.
Re: Margaret Emefiele's Kidnappers Demand N1.5billion As Ransom For Her Release by AreaFada2: 5:07am On Oct 01, 2016
Those people will be so caught soon. They will make a critical mistake. Security will intel & break into their communication. It is also a national embarrassment to FG. They might even seek help from Scotland Yard or other foreign units.

Getting the money in Naira would be foolish, especially new 1000k bills whose serial numbers can be all captured before delivery.

Asking in mixed foreign currencies would have same problem, but at least lighter to carry & hide.

Either way, greed and negligence will give them away soon. No doubt.

I pray for her safe return.
