Grundig:

Ozekhome cleared that up.
He said the portion jiti quoted could only be admidsible where thr person, in this case thr judges failed to honour an invitation.

First and foremost Ozekhome was absolutely ignornant of the law in question and/or its relevant sections.
He had to comment for the sake of arguments since he didin't know the law. He was shadow boxing! If he were in court he is required to seek an adjournment for him to go back and study the provisions of the law. He didn't want to look defeated on national tv.
It is clear that the judges would have resisted the arrest. Either by active violence (as in the case of Wike) or by simply not opening the door. They had hard currencies in their home and were culpable of money laundering. It would have been easy for the DSS operatives to have found their way in.
The section of the law citàed by Ogunye is applicable & not the old law being churned out by the learned SAN

Secondly with respect to the power of the DSS, the President is given a sweeping power to direct the DSS in such manner. If he feels thàt their internal security of the country is in jeopardy. It is the simple truth that when there is too much corruption in the judiciary people would begin to lose confidence in the courts. And where that happens people would begin to revert to jungle justice.
Jungle justice is a very big threat to our internal security and needs to be prevented at all cost.
It is therefore justifiable and reasonable for a responsible govt to take quick action.
Let me remind you all that Boko Haram and Niger Delta militancy are a product of jungle justice!

LORDOFAFONJAS:
The afonja lawyer was amused when SAN mike reminded him that sometime in July they argued abt the saraki case and he told him that saraki case would be strikes out. Today, saraki is a free man...
Don't be sìlly. Was the forgery case against Saraki struck out or the plaintiff withrew it? Get some senses.

I think people are getting it wrong here. I don't think a lawyer of Mike Ozekhome's standing won't know the current law, he lied deliberately to make the DSS look bad. He resorted to bringing in the Saraki issue which had no relevance to this case and started talking about history. Everybody knows Mike's got a vested interest

Ozekhome was floored by jiti for qouting old laws... When u ask ozekhome "whats ur name?" he will start by telling us how his greatgrand father&mother met and gave birth to grandfather and so on.... All these na unneccessary stories... The man ashamed of himself last night... He is just a loudmouth....
