Our league has better players than a lot of places they come from trust me. This is why players keep getting paid to play overseas. Osarenoma Igbinovia, Cecillia Nku and Ugo Njoku are still in the league.

Outside of Toni Payne and Michelle Alozie nobody has done anything that special. U are acting like the coach invited one or two players. The man has probably capped the most FB in history. Invited Alozie even as a training player and then we get to the college players. It is not a crime to wonder out loud about what is going on.

It's interesting that you mention those three players.. How much do you know about them? Osarenoma, who is very talented, after many years of playing in the league, has stalled, Cecelia Nku... What have you heard about her? Are younger players at her club not besting her? And Njoku... She moved to France a few years ago, but the club was not impressed with her, she had to come back. These players have not improved.

I don't know how knowledgeable you are about the women's league, you would have known that the players invited for the Summer series have been the best the home league has had to offer for sometime now, Randy worked with local coaches to have them selected. Those foreign based players are coming from serious footballing nations, and our league does not have better players( some local league players maybe more talented, but are undeveloped). Stating otherwise is preposterous.

I don't understand why you always like to make a biased point, then stick to it with all sorts of arguments. Firstly, Alozie was at least training with Houston dash at that point. It was even the Houston dash coach that recommended her to Randy, because he felt she was very good.

Also, Zogg plays for Zurich, one of the top European clubs. Apart from Oshoala and Ajibade, who else plays in a better club than her?

Esther was very good at the game against Jamaica. Even you too know that.
I wonder why we haven't gone anywhere in the World Cup if our players are as good as you claim. It's not as if I have any special love for FB players, but truth be told, they are a good upgrade to some positions on our squad. The only bias here is the noise that man is making.

U don't know what u are talking about sir. Alozie asked her coach to call Waldrum as a favor, it was not any recommendation.b

Zurich is a top European club? See how u will be saying whatever u feel like? What have they done in Europe? Is it by winning an 8 team league that we start calling someone a big club?

Did Esther score or assist against Jamaica? Create any chances maybe? But all of a sudden she did better than every hb player.

Did he really? That is debatable, based on Oshoala's comments.

You are so on point! I'm really surprised that some people back him. I'd really like them to mention the foreign based players who should be excused for home players... Super Falcons has to compete with serious footballing nations, and as such, any player who would improve the team is welcomed by me.

Some people know how to read and think for themselves. U are trying to get sympathy points from nothing.

Was it not the coach who still recommended Alozie?

A top 20 ranked club playing in the champions league, for you is not a top club. It's okay.

Keep on bringing all manner of stories to discredit people. At the end they're still all your players grin. If Esther was from Rivers Angels, we will be hearing another story from you. cheesy

I'm done with this argument.

Really? I guess you are the only one who knows how to read and think. You that keep letting your support for the home league becloud your sense of judgment.

Oga go and sit down. I didn't say she is a bad player but tell me what she did? So Slavia Prague and FC Zurich are now mates with the like of Lyon, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern, Chelsea and Man City? U should be done because u are talking in nonsense

It's against Nk Olimpija from Slovenia. The lack of information and updates on the women's game is quite saddening. We only have very few journalists for women football in Africa, making it quite hard to get detailed information or to follow.

Even if that's the case, what are the SF social media handlers doing? Nothing on their pages at all. Or is the game meant to be a secret

Even if it's a secret and can't be aired live, the SF social media handlers could at least give score updates on their twitter or instagram handles.

It's just that NFF is not running profitably or even generating revenue at all. Always dependent on government so they can afford to be lax. Else, things like this should get a whole division fired without wasting time.

Oparanozie makes scoring return on Plumptre debut as Nigeria pip Olimpija

Desire Oparanozie made a goalscoring return in her first Nigeria match since June 2019 on Ashleigh Plumptre's debut as they defeated Slovenian giants Olimpija Ljubljana 1-0 in an unofficial friendly fixture.

The Dijon striker made an immediate return to the Super Falcons' starting XI on Friday in Vienna after reuniting with her teammates since a two-year long absence for administrative reasons.

Besides Oparanozie, Sundsvall striker Ebere Orji Eskilstuna United midfielder Ngozi Okobi and Paris goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie were also making a return for the first time since missing out of action since October 2019.

Friday's match in Vienna was a wrap up test match for the West African nation following a eight-day training camp ahead of their upcoming international engagements, beginning with the Aisha Buhari Cup in September.

Oparanozie continued with her fine form from Dijon as she found the back of the net 16 minutes into the encounter to hand the Africans the lead from a free kick spot against the Slovenian aide at Vosendorf Stadium.

Despite six changes at half time, the introduction of Joy Bokiri for Rita Chikwelu, Gift Monday for Okobi, Ebere Orji for Uchenna Kanu Nicole for Chidinma Okeke, Ini Umotong for Oparanozie and Yewande Balogun for Nnadozie did not mar the Super Falcons bid for a slim win over the Dragons.

And British born Leicester City defender Plumptre, who made her maiden appearance for Nigeria, along with American born goalkeeper Yewande Balogun.

No actions for Bayelsa Queens goalkeeper Onyinyechi Okeke, Evelyn and Josephine Ijeh, while Levante star Francisca Ordega and Houston Dash woman Michelle Alozie had earlier been permitted to return to their various clubs.
With victorious outing, the Super Falcons camping has come to an exciting end in Austria as players and officials are scheduled to return to their various bases on Saturday, July 24.

But 1-0 is quiet lean though in my opinion, at least against a Slovenian club side.

A Slovenian club is definitely modest, the scoreline and performance... One can't really assess them

Great game yesterday, with the Slovenia side missing a penalty, though Goalkeeper Yetunde Balogun guess right but the ball went over the bar...
