Where is BascoVanVeli. Have you seen that USWNT is not overrated. On a very happy day, they will humble your National team with goals. Look how New Zealand still fell to very clinical finishes, even though they played so well. 1 Like |

Game video (if you're able to access it): https://elevensports.com/en/view/event/ckr3ri4kemka20gc62zlwjnww Nigeria should be able to qualify - they play a Nigerien team next on Wednesday. Also, had forgotten that Tosin Demehin and Viv Ikechukwu were with Rivers Angels. That explains their exclusion from the SF Austria Camp. Schemerkhiz: |

Rasheedat Ajibade says she is built for competitive Spanish League 25th July 2021 After switching from the Norwegian Toppserien side, Avaldnes to a more competitive Spanish Primera Division Women’s side, Atletico Madrid, Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade says she is built to surmount the challenges of the league and overcome when next season kicks off. It has been fun and competitive. Sometimes easy, sometimes challenging, but that’s what I am built for. To face all odds and overcome. The former FC Robo Queens player scored 12 goals in 40 league games and improved her personal best during her second season with Avaldnes where she played from 2019 to 2020. In her first season with Atletico Madrid, the former Nigeria junior international scored two goals in all competitions for the Rojiblanco. Ajibade celebrates one of her goal with teammates “No, that was not my best. I have a lot more to offer and there is a lot more to come.” Says Rasheedat Ajibade. Rasheedat, 21, scored her first goal under the tutelage of Randy Waldrum for Super Falcons during the African Champions’ 3-3 draw with Portugal at the 2021 US Summer Series. She sees the American gaffer as an amazing coach and opens up on the interesting and competitive nature of the Spanish league. Rasheedat Ajibade in action for Super Falcons of Nigeria vs Portugal She said: “Coach Randy Waldrum is amazing. All leagues have their uniqueness. The Spanish Primera Iberdrola has a lot of games in the season, lots of good teams to contest against, and many competitions in the country, which all makes it interesting. Ajibade and Atletico Madrid will kick off the 2021/2022 Spanish Primera Division Women’s league season with a home match against Rayo Vallecano on September 5, 2021. Super Falcons on the other hand will feature at the Aisha Buhari Invitation Tournament in preparation for the 2022 Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) Qualifiers against Black Queens of Ghana. Rasheedat wants to give her best for her Club and national team with the aim of winning more titles with both sides after winning the 2018 AWCON title with Nigeria. “My expectations with Atletico Madrid and Super Falcons are numerous; to be the best, to give more than I have given in previous games and competitions, to help the team win, and lots more.” She concluded. Rasheedat Ajibade featured for 2021 Aiteo Cup finalist and Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, FC Robo Queens before moving to Norway where she played for Avaldnes and switched to Atletico Madrid on January 1, 2021.

FUTURE SUPER FALCON Promising midfielder ASHLEY ANTONI AKPAN aka Ashanti is under the spotlight for A2Z today. Ashanti currently plays for Sunderland U18 in England after coming through the ranks at Chelsea. The 17 year old is fast, dynamic and has the technical ability to operate either in midfield or at right back. Though her national allegiance is yet to be confirmed, she is however eligible to play for Nigeria , Poland and England at National level. With the recent influx of foreign based players to their country of origin, do you think Nigeria will be able to secure the addition of this youngster to the national team? Unfortunately, there is no video data on her. She would need to build a body of work for an assessment to be made. Understand she was released by Chelsea, meaning she didn't stack up. Hopefully, we can revisit in the next 2 years when she is 19. For now, probably not an SF candidate. isan: |
