solonnachi: Glory Ogbonna is a Left Back.. Esther Okoronkwo is still out recovering from a knee injury, that’s why she wasn’t invited.. Patricia George wasn’t invited.. Michelle Alozie is Coach Randy Waldrum first choice Right Back even though she’s originally a forward. She’s getting better with more game time. And again there are other options in the Right back position.. Nicole Payne. Osinachi Ohale, Tony Payne can also be deployed there… 3 Likes |

Bigzigg: Charity Adule making the list would have been a Shock to me.. either in Midfield or Attack.! Her performance for the Superfalcons right from the Turkish Cup down to the Summer Series haven’t been impressive… 3 Likes |

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 5:50pm On Jun 25, 2022 |
Agree. She hasn’t really stood out for me either. Also think Monday Gift was incredibly fortunate that both Esther Okoronkwo and Desire Oparanozie were no-shows, as there is no way she would have made the squad. Deltamani: 4 Likes |

AkinDS: Great point… Esther Okoronkwo is among Superfalcons top5 strikers right now.. I really want to see how the SA and rest team face the likes of Ifeoma Onumonu, Rasheedat Ajibade, Tony Payne, Ashleigh Plumptre and few others as they weren’t available for the Aisha Buhari Cup last year… Even Experience and Strong defender Osinachi Ohale wasn’t around too… Christy Ucheibe another player.. |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AkinDS: 8:22pm On Jun 25, 2022 |
Hope this will be a good coming out party for Christy - I really liked her performance against Canada, especially in the second half, as she looked quite the part. With the return of Halimat Ayinde, I think we might just have the strongest and most complete midfielders we have ever had at a tournament. Will really miss Esther Okoronkwo - she would have exploded in this tourney. Wish her speedy recovery. Deltamani: |

FT France(4)-(0) Cameroon Red card to Cissoko in the final minutes, I just hope that hard tackle on Aboudi Onguene doesn’t lead to a Knee injury with the way she fell down..

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by GeneralDae: 10:11pm On Jun 25, 2022 |
Deltamani:The Cameroonians were quiet quick on the transition from defence to attack. They just lacked the quality to see things through. The French were also quiet too much for them. If they play like this in their group games and just ensure Aboudi Oguene starts, then it would be difficult for Zambia and Tunisia against them. 1 Like |
