zeestunner: How prevalent is underage marriage in the north compared to other parts of the world. How about female education rates compared to other parts. The north is backwards in terms of women's rights and we need a solution for it, not denying the problem 2 Likes |

Mr president, it's about time you quit making this statement about your wife's role been solely in the kitchen.it gives a myopic impression that the presiding officer of this country called nigeria does not understand the effective role of women in national affairs and not just a woman but the first lady of nigeria.please desist from this caricature statement no matter how funny it sounds.at this time, women all over the world are fighting profusely to achieving gender equality, such a statement calls to question your governments ideology on the issue of women development. 1 Like |

He has disgraced us twice and will continue further. He made his opinion known and is adamant on keeping it. If asked a hundred times he would respond saying the same. The only person wey go tire na we nairalanders from responding continuously with nothing to show for it. I'm tired. Who wants ice cream? 2 Likes |

A man has just been betrayed by his wife in public and people are commending her. I hope if your wives betray you in public you can condone it oooo. I don't know why ppl always find it difficult to understand something unless it happens to them. I for one don't think she has any regard for him. She has sided with outsiders against him. I don't know if their marriage will survive this. She mess up bad. Don't take family issues to the public. It is one of the golden rules of marriage. And Buhari is a very proud man. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Zeebrugge: My brother, I think you should ignore that guy you quoted. I really don't understand how some Nigerians rationalise things. With due respect, the President's wife does not have to know everyone in her husband's cabinet. We are just so hypocritical in this country, it is almost a national consensus that Mrs Jonathan overstepped her boundaries while her husband held sway; now we have a President who wants to check the excesses of his wife, people are speaking emotionally and mis-interpreting it as sexism. How can a man who supported his wife to masters degree level, and to own and run one of Nigeria's finest beauty businesses be a sexist? Nawa for some people sha. 3 Likes 1 Share |

jaymejate:Talk about fallacy, on one hand you're trying so hard to make a mountain out of PMB's statement and on the other hand you're castigating a whole region, bravo!!! PMB has said it loud and clear, it is the duty of his wife to take care of her home and not to meddle in politics. Nigerians are just hypocrite left, right and center, most of the folks typing trash here have the same roles for their spouses and I can't fault nobody because from the beginning of time, it has always been the role of the woman to take care of her home as her primary assignment, all other things are just additions to the constant. 1 Like |

Buhari: I am sure you have a house. … You know where your kitchen is, you know where your living room is, and I believe your wife looks after all of that, even if she is working. DW: That is your wife’s function? Buhari: Yes, to look after me. DW: And she should stay out of politics? Buhari: I think so. baba clear her doubt First Lady......you belong to the kitchen, the living room and the other room Nigerian ladies where do u belong? 1 Like |

I remember the oga at the top saga and the business of printing T shirts. Now the other room shirts should outsell the oga at the top. On a serious note, buhari keeps embarrassing Nigeria, his spin doctors and even his host. Imagine the president reduced to a roforofo fight with a woman just like dele momudu and Davido 2 Likes |

Let all you jobless wailers and sudden overnight feminists feast on this as usual. He said his wife, I repeat, His wife belongs to the Kitchen! Hug transformer! Yours can belong to a brothel, thats no body's business. But HIS WIFE not my wife or yer wife. Nlders and their misplaced priorities, they will just find a way to bash on him.Am very sure if Aisha made a statement that "As a wife of the president,I must knw all appointees in his cabinet" most people here will call for his head.Technically wailers are promoting nepotism that they have already accused PMB for, according to constitution, she has no audacity to be looking after the presidency cabinet. |

jaymejate:you are silly..his wife's opinion will not even count if he didn't run and succede to become president. This is not a matter of sexism. Even the vice president who is an elected official in his own rights shouldn't have the audacity to go behind his boss's back and criticise his policies. That is the height of disloyalty. If Aisha wants to have an opinion that counts then she should run for an elected office herself and win then she can speak based on her own mandate. Did you ever hear of Obama or even Bush's wife make this kind of comments even when the whole world criticised their husbands? Buhari is a gentleman.. If it were me, I will give her a resounding slap for this kind of embarrassment and divorce her sharply. Nonsense. 1 Like 1 Share |
