However, this administration has proven that no matter how highly qualified and competent you are, it is difficult to perform based on the dictatorial tendencies of the President. Guy, Nigeria Railway Corporation needs someone with a lot of creative ideas and an ability to execute projects in a timely manner to turn the place around. That place could become a money spinner if it is properly funded & managed.

Three-quarters of its railway terminals in various states of the federation are unkempt and non-functional eyesores. The Iddo terminus which should be an example of a dynamic commercial complex is nothing but an under-utilised large hall, with very little to write home about. Till today, you cannot find electronic or digital displays at the terminus that can tell you when the next train is approaching or leaving.

Rail fares are typed on loose sheets of paper and stuck on a peeling wall. There is no customer care line or electronic booking system to enable passengers buy tickets or confirm the duration of their trips. And this is the 21st Century, oh! Phones & GSM lines are two for ten kobo everywhere! Yet NRC does NOT have a functional information or call centre that can cater to the public. Why are we so backward in this country?
