The MTV Europe Music Awards has finally stripped off Nigeria’s Wizkid of the Best African Act award and given it to Ali Kiba after days of public outcry from Tanzanians

The award that was subject to a public vote became a subject of discussion after votes showed Ali Kiba was leading but the organisers gave Wizkid the trophy during the ceremony in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Ali Kiba said he was awaiting communication from the award organisers and on Wednesday, MTV Base East Africa made the announcement.

Reacting to the news, Ali Kiba said

“Sasa ndio nimepata confirmation kwamba ni kweli tuzo inakuja Tanzania na vile vile mimi siwezi kuzungumzia, nitasubiri mpaka nizishike (I’ve just gotten the confirmation that the award is coming back to Tanzania, but I can’t talk much about it, I’m still waiting to receive it),”

MTV base should be blamed for all this, sincerely I don't know any Ali talk more of kiba but if truly he had more votes than wizkid, then he deserves it, and am sure he knows he stands no chance against wizkid in any stage home or away.

I doubt if MTV would do that...cos it would dent their reputation
