no one seems to want to help out a nicotine ad.

What ad?

Do you mean help with tobacco addiction? If so, it will depend on where you live and the type of resources available.

But you can also begin to cut down on the amount you smoke, the number of times you smoke, and avoid the situations that make you want to light up.

I'm base in NYC, so I can't direct you to a group if you're not around here.

Good luck on your efforts to quit.

@ Naijaking1, Balogun and all other professional Web Medical Doctors.

I WILL LIKE TO KNOW IF BACTERIA(B) CAN TURN TO A VIRUS(V).
For instance, Can Staph Aureus(B) turn to HIV(V)?
.
Also, at what level does Staph Aureus becomes dangerous in the body and can it be cured medically?

Cheers
Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by naijaking1: 8:17pm On Jan 09, 2008
@darellone

No, bacteria can't turn into a virus. However, the presence of a virus can make the body more susceptible to being infected by bacteria, and vis-visa.

It has not been scientifically shown that staph. aureus can tramsform into HIV, both of the organism could be contracted at the same time.

There could be a clinical scenerio where a patient has symptoms attributable to staph( staph is more easily isolated and cultured in the lab than HIV) without know that HIV was also present at the initial incident.

I'm at yahoo.com

kUDOS TO U Naijaking, Balogun & co.

Please talking about the Menstrual Cycle, mine used to be 28 days or more, but recently about four months ago, it has become irregular after I used Clomid, sometimes 25 sometimes 21 making it difficult to know my ovulation day. That apart, I will like to know the effect of this clomid on a baby as I intend to use it again (after 4months) as I have not achieved the aim of getting pregnant yet. Your response is urgently needed as I'm to start the dosage 2day/tomorrow (clomid) if I av to use it.

Thanks so much.

Naijaking. Thanks for keeping things going. Just didn't realise how much time I spend now mentoring junior doctors, preparing lectures for med students and doctors. You have to make sure you dont neglect your family as well.
I will try and help on as regular basis as I can. Glad you are here

Some questions:

1) How do you treat rashes on the lips?
2) How do you treat sex addiction?
3) How do you treat involuntary shitting?
4) How do you treat recurring urinary tract infections of an individual case of schistosomiasis, strep and colifaus?
5) How can a pre-menopausal woman stop the night flushes?

i will like to know hw to effectly treat urinary tract infections caused by e-coli, staph and yeast

I would start by going to your md office for urine analysis, culture and sentivity. Following the doctors recommendation to the letters, and not stopping the medication at the first sign of relief.

4 year old finger infection? While fungal infections are certainly possible, and depending on the type of job you do, I would strongly recommend showing it to your doctor, because a biopsy may be necessary to rule out more serious causes.

Gentamycin is not used to treat staph, it may show sensitivity in the lab, but clinically not used. Another reason to contact a qualified MD.

Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Balogun(m): 9:58pm On Feb 11, 2008
Rashes on lips depends on cause. With cold sores you can try zovirax(acyclovir).
Sex addiction, see a psychologist. Preferably same one Michael Douglas saw!!!
Involuntary shitting or defaecation, depends on cause. Investigate first and treat
Recurrent UTI, check for what the organism is sensitive to and treat appropriately.
Night flushes HRT (hormone replacement therapy)

@big nero
There is certainly an issue of hygiene here.

Sugar ants are not used to diagonize diabetes or any other disease.

How do we really know it a sugar ant? The ant may just be after some carbohydrate(sugar), or protein from the semen, or even after lipids from anal flora.

Your friend would do well to have his urine tested for elevated amounts of sugar/protein than relying on ants for that procedure.

Whatever condition creats the presence of these ants ought to be cleaned up ASAP.
